Performance Task/ Test Materials: Department of Education

1. The documents provide performance tasks and materials for students of Carmen National Agricultural High School in the Philippines for the first, second, and third quarters of the 2019-2020 school year. 2. The first quarter task involves designing open packaging boxes by sketching plans, writing volume equations, and solving the equations using completing the square. 3. The second quarter task involves formulating and solving a word problem about designing the diameter of a water tank holding a minimum volume. 4. The third quarter tasks involve identifying properties of quadrilaterals and naming parallelograms based on given properties.

1. Sketch the required triangle to solve the problem
2. Use the Law of Cosines to solve it

1. Peter has three sticks measuring 19 cm, 23 cm, and 27 cm. He lays them
down to form a triangle. Find the measure of the angle formed by the 19-cm
and the 23-cm, sides to the nearest degree.

2. An aircraft tracking station determines the distance from common point O

to each aircraft and the angle between the aircrafts. If angle O between the
aircrafts is 49˚ and the distances from the point O to the two aircrafts are 50
km and 72 km, find the distance between the two aircrafts.
