Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power: Lecture-1: Introduction
This document outlines the course on transmission and distribution of electric power taught by Dr. Omar A. Hafez. The main topics that will be discussed include transmission lines, insulators, and distribution systems. The course objectives are for students to understand power system structures and analyze transmission line performance parameters. Students will also learn to design transmission lines and distribution systems, evaluate insulator performance, and detect cable faults. The course will include quizzes, exams, and a lab component for grading. Additional readings and materials will be provided on the class homepage and Blackboard site.
