Running Head: Rfid Systems Technology 1

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has significantly impacted industries like healthcare by allowing remote tracking and identification of objects. RFID uses radio waves to automatically identify tags attached to objects and extract data from a distance without human interaction. In healthcare, RFID helps track medical supplies and assets, categorize patients, and manage staff data without errors. While RFID provides benefits like reduced costs and improved safety, its use with metals and fluids can obstruct radio waves. For RFID to be sustainable, future research needs to design magnetic fields compatible with all materials, including metals and fluids.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has grown considerably in recent years, having a

significant impact on national safety, manufacturing, supply chain, healthcare, agriculture, and

transportation services. This technology is gaining momentum and widespread diffusion due to

its ability to trace and discern diverse tags located in the same area or even from a distance

without human assistance. The RFID systems technology brief is used to identify objects then

transfer information obtained on radio waves from afar.

The application of RFID Technology has been of significant impact on service delivery

in the health care industry. Through this technology, medical assets can be monitored, and it's

also capable of interacting virtually with any pharmaceutical, It or patient deployed in this

system. The research conducted shows that the implementation of this technology has both

benefits and obstacles in the healthcare industry. Some of its benefits include its capability to

capture and track inventory of medical supply, categorize patients and manage labor force data

without any human intervention that is not prone to errors. As such, operational costs, labor

costs, medical errors, and patient safety are improved. However, there has been a concern about

its application when dealing with metals and fluids. The technology has codes that use

electromagnetic waves as a communication medium that does not work efficiently as they

obstruct the electromagnetic wave propagation.

Likewise, other industries have also began investing extra time and resources, just like

health care, when it comes to this technology brief. The most significant concern still remains on

its application when dealing with metals and fluids. Therefore, for the future perspective,

engineers dealing with the advancement of this technology should design the magnetic field's

nature compatible with all medium, including metals and fluids, for its sustainability purposes.
