1. Introduction
Biswadeep Ghosh is an English writer and an Indian classical musician. He has been in the
industry for the last 25 years. He gave up his career as a singer to become a journalist at the
age of 18, and since then has been keenly writing on literature, movies and music. Along with
an illustrious career in niche publications like The Times of India, Maharashtra Herald,
Outlook, & Hindustan Times, Biswadeep has authored many biographies of Bollywood actors
like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan etc. He is a freelance
writer and columnist.
His biography The Man The Leader MSD has been the talk of the town these days for the
obvious reason that it's the biography of the man of the moment, the former Indian skipper
Mahendra Singh Dhoni. “The book was released right before the beginning of the World Cup
2015, and has been generating plenty of curiosity.”
Dhoni was an ordinary kid in Ranchi, in the late 1990, which was a part of the state of Bihar.
Like many boys he went to school, got back home, and rushed to the MECON stadium
nearby. “He loved every form of outdoor game. In the childhood he was a very soft-spoken
person, serious about studies. He was called Mahi by his friends and neighbours. Dhoni listened
his teachers and senior players without countering them.”
Dhoni played for DAV Shyamali in school days. “He was goalkeeper in his school’s football
team. His school’s team had settled batting order skipper Sanjeev Kumar and technically
attracting player Shabir Husain. Dhoni was relied upon to advance up the scoring rate toward
the finish of inning. One day he all of a sudden made a demand to his physical instruction
mentor Keshab Ranjan Banerjee for open the inning Banerjee was puzzled by the such unusual
demand he didn't know how to react. Banerjee asked to Dhoni not to make such nonsensical
interest before beginning of the match yet the Dhoni decline to move. He needed to open the
inning at any condition." Banerjee went for broke comfortable with the understudy's capacity
to wrecking knocking down some pins assault he understands that he could take a risk with the
youthful chap and enable him to open. Kendria Vidyalaya’s player wondered that 1why he sent
out to open. Dhoni took charge and hit with such brute force that ball fell only after travel2ling

for several meter beyond the boundary line through every gap in the field on the both side of
the wicket. “Dhoni did not get out neither did Shabir both shared 378 runs partnership in which
Dhoni contribute in his first solid knock 213 not out from 150 balls and due such huge
contribution his school won the tournament with incredible ease. Dhoni had played that inning
was important for two reason. First, it showed his ability to play knocking while scoring at a
very fast pace. Second, Banerjee had warned that if he lost his wicket than no other batsman
would replace his position.”
When Dhoni started his career as team India player his skill allowed him to consolidate his
place in team. After he became captain of team. He had two roles wicketkeeper and batsman
another role was captainship. “He is often spoken of as the best batsman in limited format as
well as best finisher in world. Generation will remember Dhoni for hitting the spectacular
winning six for India in the final of the 50-over World Cup 2001 against Sri Lanka. Dhoni had
led India to an ICC World T20, An ICC 50-Over Cricket World Cup and ICC Championship
Trophy triumph, as well as the number one ranking in the Tests.”
Mahendra Singh Dhoni's "story is a motivation for the individuals who have huge ability,
however are engrossed with the deficiencies that are connect with the birth in the group of
humble means in a little city. He has demonstrated that an inspired by the longing to prevail at
the larger amount that is quintessence of this story."

6. Controversies
Known as one of the best commanders ever, it is safe to that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will go
down as a legend of Indian cricket and the game by and large. He is known to be cool and
calculative with no opportunity to get into controversies.
Spot fixing allegations:
In the 2013 IPL, it was alleged that Dhoni was engaged in "Match-Fixing." It was found that
Dhoni held a 15% stake in an association known as 'Rhiti sports' that in like manner addressed
Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja. It was said that Dhoni favored these two as it suggested
more money into the association as appearance charges for playing for their gatherings. Thiss
would have disregarded BCCI standards yet the whole case vanished. As a result, Chennai was
banned for two years.
In an ODI India versus Bangladesh, Dhoni was associated with a fight with bowler Mustafizur
Rahman. The occurrence happened in the second innings where Dhoni collided with him while
taking the run. It was asserted that Rahman was intentionally obstructing the batsmen's way
while running and Rohit Sharma too had raised a similar concern before in the innings. Rahman

depicted him as someone who regulated the guaranteeing and advertisement industry.
Numerous people felt that the cover hurt Hindu conclusions while others said that there should
be a line between the privilege to talk unreservedly and verbalization and this did not cross
that.
7. Assessment
The leader the great captain the cool head Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an epitome of all of this
never wanting to become a cricketer in his childhood. He has transformed into the best finisher
in the history of world cricket. Dhoni in his childhood wish to play football and was never
interested in cricket “however things took a U-turn and you are selected in a school cricket
team where is performances were unmatchable. However,” Dhoni's ride to the foundation of
Indian cricket group has not been smooth he has confronted numerous battles throughout his
life Because of deficient methods for transport and correspondence. He botched his first chance
to get into the Indian group. At that point when the second time he got his chance he was let
around his group. In any case, Dhoni was resolved to making it to the Indian group does he
buckle down and with full assurance in the outlook. He additionally filled in as a prepare ticket
authority with consistent assurance fixation on enhancing is amusement. He made his cut to
the Indian team luck favored him this time and even after a dismal debut he continued in the
team but this time he was not to let any opportunity go away. So, he takes every opportunity
with both hands and raised to the man. He is today the most successful captain of India he
completed every Indian stream of winning the world cup once again after a gap of 28 years in
a way only done in which Dhoni could do it that is with a six not only the world cup but he has
won the Champions Trophy as well as the T20 cup. His belief in his team is unmatchable even
after a poor performance in Australia just before the world cup he was confident of defending
the cup. He guided India to another semifinal however this time the history was not to be
repeated. He is a very selfless person who knows only one thing that is to play for his team and
11
not for himself. He is an inspiration to all those who dream big but fear of not completing it
because of coming from a small town.
8. Conclusion
Dhoni started making rounds for his cool attitude – something we all most aspire to emulate.
We would find him with a smile even in the toughest of games. “This calm attitude of his

every boy in the country now wanted to adorn the “Dhoni Hairstyle”. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is
one of the most celebrated and greatest Indian cricketers of all time. He has shown to the world
how a small boy from Ranchi channelled his excess energies into cricket that resulted in
amazing yearlong international careers with so many achievements which other players unable
to do till now.” He was a hard-working boy and struggled to become a legend of cricket.
Despite his celebrity status he keeps his private life secret and avoids any controversy. His

people who have helped him in his life and always give them respect. This shows the
characteristics of his soul and personal life. His Supreme pride in playing for India is evident
from the fact when he said everything else can wait I am on national duty and also in his words
