Melles Griot - High Energy Laser Optics - Plate Beamsplitters

The document summarizes plate beamsplitters that are used to separate or combine laser beams at right angles. It lists available sizes and coatings from 193nm to 1064nm that provide high reflectance and damage threshold. Specific models of beamsplitters are outlined with their dimensions, material, coating type, and product number.

Melles Griot plate beamsplitters are used to separate a laser

beam into two separate beams or to combine beams at right angles
to each other. The front surface of the beamsplitter reflects a portion SIDE 1

Side 1. To prevent permanent damage, Side 1 must
face the incident energy. The damage threshold for
beamsplitters is primarily dependent upon the
coating performance of Side 2.

POLARIZATION
Because s-polarized light is reflected more effectively than p-polarized light, reflectivity values given in this section are
given for average polarization values, i.e., (S+P) /2.
