7 Inspection and Tests

17636-2: 2013 for radiographic

shall be certificated under the
Personnel Certification in NDT
(PCN) Scheme.

5% of the total number of welds

selected for ultrasonic
inspection.

10% of the total number of

welds in the installation shall be

inspection, selected at random.

If welds are found to be

unsatisfactory, further tests
shall be carried out. In the event

personnel concerned shall not
be permitted to carry out any
further work.

Additional welds may be

inspected by an independent
authority, and any defects found
shall be repaired. Any additional
f testing required as a result shall
be carried out without charge.
Root penetration shall comply
with the requirements of BS
2640 and BS 2971.
