 Q5 to 6 in Section E is of 6 marks each.
 All questions are compulsory. Please mind the internal choices.
 Do not mix the sections.

SECTION C
1. A, B, C and D are four partners in a firm. The name of the firm is ‘Maitri Pustak Bhandar’. The
latest books of all the subjects remain available at this shop. All the four partners decided that
the books equal to the amount of 20% off the total profit of the firm they will distribute to the
poor children of the society. It had a very positive effect on the goodwill of the firm. D is the
youngest partner of the firm. He is now 16 years old. The financial position of C was not good. He
had not joined on the condition that he would be the partner only for the profits. Similarly B also
continues to be a partner on a condition. He joined the firm on the condition that his name
would not be made public. All the four partners were committed to make their business reach to
the topmost level of the success.
All of them took part in all activities of the firm, but the administrative activity was taken care of
A and B only. On the basis of this passage:
a. Identify the information on the partners imparted in the passage.
b. Identify any three partners on the basis of imparted information.

SECTION D

2. Rajesh goes to the State Bank of India to open his savings account there. On visiting the bank
he learns that there is some account available which is better than the Savings account. The
specialty of this account is that as and when the deposited amount in the account exceeds a
certain amount, the amount in excess gets transferred into the fixed deposit. The interest earned
on the fixed deposit is more than that on the savings account. This account serves the purpose of
both the savings account and fixed deposit. Rajesh gets this account opened.
Identify this account and explain it.
3. Anna and Elsa are twin sisters. They have completed their M. Com studies. Now they are in
search of employment. After a thorough study they decided to set up a floor mill. Their main job
was to purchase wheat from the market and have it ground to flour. The flour was available in
the packets of 5 kg, 10 kg and 50 kg. They named their brand ‘Elixir Foods’ and also decided that
they would have only 8% profit on cost. Their activity of buying and selling became continuous. In
no time their brand becomes popular in the market. The main reasons of their popularity were
superior quality and low price. Their business was running very well. But one day, their factory
caught terrible fire. They have to suffer a heavy loss. The brave sisters did not lose their heart.
Gradually their business was back to normal. Now, they are fully satisfied with their business.
a. On the basis of the information given in the above paragraph tell about which aspect of
business is it related.
b. Quoting the relevant lines write about four features of above context.
4. A team of seven friends decided to jointly set up a public company. This company would be set
up in such a region where the people were suffering from unemployment. All of them jointly
selected a place where the company would run its business and where the company’s registered
office would be set up. Along with it, with the advice of specialists, it was also decided what
method would be followed for the issue and the allotment of shares. All the friends wanted their
company could become a reason for its recognition. For the name of the company they had
several options before them. After a thorough consideration, the company was named ‘trimurti
Limited’. Before the registration of the company, the method of ratification of the contracts to
be entered into by the company was also decided. Besides all the friends jointly completed the
remaining formalities of the setting up of the company.
a. The information of which two documents is obtained by us from the setting up of the
company?

SECTION E
5. ‘Grehni Foods Private Ltd’ is such a company which does the business of Grocery items of daily
domestic usage. Its business is spread throughout Delhi. The company’s 35 stores are providing
their services to the residents Delhi. All the business activities of this company depend upon
internet. Its main activities are as follows: Obtaining information about goods, orderning goods,
receiving orders for goods, making payments, getting payments, stock management, product
development, accountancy and human resource management. The company’s stores being
spread at distant places, all of them use medium of internet for mutual dealings. The middlemen
are disappearing because of business being based on internet. Consequently, customers are
getting goods comparatively at a cheaper price. Because now the payment also made through
internet, the risk of carrying cash by the people has come to an end. The people is also made

satisfied with the services of ‘Grehni Foods’. One of the reasons for their satisfaction is that now
their doubts are immediately removed. Being influenced by the success of this company, some
other people also started this type of business. But they could not achieve much success. The
reason for this was the additional advantage to ‘Grehni Foods’ because of being the first mover.
