Sentinel-2 Calibration and Validation - From The Instrument To Lev

This document discusses the calibration and validation of the Sentinel-2 satellite instrument and level 2 products. It provides an overview of the Sentinel-2 mission and products. The radiometric calibration uses a sun diffuser, vicarious calibration sites, and in-situ measurements. Geometric calibration involves temporal and spectral registration. Level 2 validation incorporates atmospheric correction and generates terrain correction, cloud/shadow masks. The Sentinel-2 Technical Expertise Center supports commissioning of radiometric, geometric, and level 1/2 processing algorithms.
