Where did the lesson take place?

It was in It was in the Microsoft teems online Math classroom. The lesson was about skip count by

them to solve it by using chat.

What did the students do?

The lesson was about (skip count by 2s, 5s, and 10s). In addition, in the beginning of the lesson
they will listen to national anthem then I tell them to make sure they have their materials
such as pencil and book and I tell them the class rules. I let them to think what we learned

to let them remember. We started our vocabulary words by skip counting in 2s,5s,10. I
showed students video and in each part I stooped the video and explain for them also in the
video there were some questions such us which number is the ten’s I told students to turn
microphone on to answer. I presented in the power point the questions of skip counting in
2s, 5s, and 10 and I let students to turn microphone on to skip counting and they answered
and I wrote the answered. Then I send for them Kahoot link to played and through they
played I felt they were understood because their score were high. In addition, I told students
to bring small paper to write exit ticket question to skip count and send it back to me. Finally,
we solved math book.

I feel students respond the lesson because they were enjoyable when I told them we played
word wall and kahoot game. And I believe all students felt like they could skip counting.

How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?

In grade one, the students learned about skip counting and they were able to count. I connected
the lesson by Kahoot game.

The students were engaged when they do in the beginning of class a word wall matching
vocabulary and we played kahoot game. Also the students are interesting and focused when I
showed them their result and we practice together. And students are engaging because they used
online activities. In future, I will engage the learners by letting them play online game.

Appraise (A):

Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

I found that the online activities were appropriate for each level because I make a search to know
new ideas of Kahoot activities. Although I had to support students by checked their answers in
the chat. And I feel some students cant join the Kahoot activity because they are still young and
they need more help.

Transform (T):

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?

What are the implications for your professional practice?

In my next lesson, I will said the rules first after that I will let all the boys to said for the girls one
rule for example the boys will say turn the microphone off then I will lets all the girls said for the
boys be on time. Also, I will explain for them in English and Arabic to help their parents. I will
provide for them big numbers to make sure they understood if its even or odd. Also next time, I
will provide two jars one for even numbers and other for odd numbers and we played a
competition between girls and boys to be engaged in the lesson. Also, next time I will use I pad to
monitored students when they participate such as raising an electronic hand. And I felt, students
were understood the lessons because they were participated with me and their answers were
