Each question is worth 10 points.

1. What terrestrial biomes, marine and freshwater ecosystems can be


found in the Philippines? Where are they located? Are those areas
protected by any means?

Answer.

The Benguet pine forest is in the Cordillera Region of Luzon. It is a


fragile ecosystem, which, once deforested, will result in the impairment of
the upland hydrologic cycle. This pine forest offers opportunities for the
development of a human capacity to alleviate the status of forest-
dwellers and promote economic growth in the ecoregion. This area is
protected wherein protests brew against pine tree felling and balling in a
mall and resort camp in Baguio City. Local Government assures
sustainable use of forest watershed reservation to avoid forest loss,
degradation on an extensive and harmful scale persists outside the city.

2. As an aspiring engineer, what biome(s) do you dream of experiencing or


visiting? Why?

Answer.

The biomes that I want to experience are Marine. These Biomes are
mostly hard to visit every day. Going on this kind of Biome is good to
experience when exploring biomes like this because of the adventure it
surrounded. The Marine Biomes are a widely inhibited variety of
organisms that depend on the presence of sunlight and nutrients to
thrive and also areas that best time for relaxation. This kind of nature is
one of the best to experience when you want to spend your time with
yourself, most especially when you want to rest for a while in studying.
