PROMPT: You belong to a research group in the Faculty of Engineering at ITM. You are working on finding
out the manmade wonders worldwide and your professor has asked you to write a report on the information you
have collected. In your text, include the following aspects:
1. Provide details of the wonder: date of creation, and importance (monument, sculpture, building, etc.)
2. Report on the features and characteristics that make the wonder famous, important or relevant for
mankind
3. Describe the technologies used to build it up

wonders; communicate and send messages so the audience is
left with no questions.
Composing (organization): produce a cohesive text
(relationship among the parts of the text) and show evidence
of a coherent text (an appropriate organization within the
sentences that are according to the level).
Vocabulary (lexicon): use vocabulary related to manmade
wonders, its characteristics, use descriptors and a variety of
words to make writing interesting.
Structure (syntax): produce past tense, present perfect and
superlatives when talking about manmade wonders; and use
other sentence structures.
Mechanics: make proper use of capitalization, punctuation
and spelling to avoid interferences with the communicative
meaning of the task.
