ASSIGNMENT ONE
a) A Teacher is a person who helps students or learners to learn by imparting or inserting
knowledge, skills and awareness to the learner by teaching them while giving the
learners examples, theory and practical’s where by the system that is used by the
teacher while teaching a learner it can help him or her or it can be more valuable to him
or her to make the right decisions, changing learners behaviors and attitude even in a
learners future that can help a student in the world.

An Instructor is a person who makes a learner to know how, what and when to do
that has been given by their lecturer or a teacher in order for the student to accurate
and timely information about their courses..

A lecturer is a person who gives an instructional talk on some subject to the learner
and a lecturer always giving students lecturer especially as an occupa56tion at university
in order to help a student to get more knowledge, skills, awareness about something
that has been taught to him or her by the lecturer which helps the lecturers to make

c) Instructivism, This is the teaching marked by direct communication of the teaching
material from the teacher to the learner for example the student after a lesson or
lecture he or she cannot be able to construct a given assignment to the expected since
he or she was also given direct information by the teacher or lecturer.

Constructivism, is the theory that says a learner construct knowledge rather than just
passively take in information like when a lecturer or teacher insert knowledge, skills,
awareness to the learner. The learner also adds in more about what has been taught to
him or her by building his or her own representation and incorporate new information
into their pre-existing knowledge hence helps the learner to succeed in future and in the
world.

Scaffolding, This is where a teacher, lecturer teachers a learner instructional

techniques in order for learners to move progressively toward stronger, understanding,
greater independence in the learning process.

Cognitive instructivism, this is where a lecturer understands how the learners mind
works while student are learning in order for the lecturer to help the learners that are
slow in learning which can also help the teacher, example in theory focuses on how
information is processed by the brain and learning occurs through that internal
processing of information hence the cognitive instructivism relate to learning and
teaching through a learner.

TOPIC THREE
ASSIGNMENT THREE

A. Lecture it refers to a traditional classroom teaching model, where the instructor delivers
lecture verbally in combination with either a projector, visual display surface and writing
surface example a chalkboard or erase whiteboard.
The lecture method is the worst approach to teaching since the learners in most cases
they do not like learning by the time the lecture is taking place and course unit or the
subject it can make the lecture to be at 5% as the worst approach because the lecturers
sometimes they do not let the students to relax and they interact with their fellows in
order to refresh the learners brain so, end of lecture the student might end up when he
or she has not got anything from what has been taught by the lecturer.

B. Lecture is the most popular method used in most institution of higher learning
universities because it provides an economical and efficient method for delivering
substantial amounts of information to large numbers of students or learners.

Lecturer affords a necessary framework or overview for subsequent learning example

reading assignments small group activities, discussion hence makes lectures to be more
popular method used in most institution of higher learning universities all over the
world.

In conclusion to the above points brings out the lecturers method to be the worst
method of teaching though is the most popular method used in most institutions of
higher learning, universities all over the world.

C. The Audio-visual increases from 10% to 20% because a learner after reading he or she
can visit the internet in order to get more information about she or he read about and
getting more examples which increases on the learners understanding.
Demonstration increases by 10% from 20% to 30% because the learner after the lecture,
reading, audio-visual they try to demonstrate what they have read in order for them to
not forget and to be more creative which helps the students to succeed in the world and
he or she will be doing well In the future.

Discussion group percentage also increases from 30% to 50% where by the learner
involve in creating discussion groups where they interact with their fellow students in
order to exchange the ideas which helps the students to get more knowledge, skills and
awareness from others hence makes rate increase from reading to the last level.

Practice by the doing the percentage goes on increase whereby here increases from
50% to 75% because students after discussing with the group members can start or can
be able to start practice practically in order to know and to see that they have been
reading, audio-visual, discussing how it is done practically so as students here get more
interested in what they have learning since because they would like to exactly see and
know hence the retention rate increases by 15%.

Teach others or immediate use of learning, the retention rate increases from 75% to
90% where by a learner after practice by doing here a student can be able to go
teaching others that didn’t understand the content of the teacher which can help the
student who didn’t understand from teacher to know from fell student because a
learner can go deep the content since he or she did the enough research work,
practical’s, discussions and also student is free to ask whatever he or she didn’t
understand from the lecture.

In conclusion the retention rate increases from the level of reading to the last level of
pyramid which is on 90% and it is immediate use of learning or teaches other.
