1. Codeks Addon Layouts


Codeks Addon IP Camera is upgrade for Codeks TA Kit, Codeks AC or Codeks TA application. It enables
connectivity to IP cameras.

NOTE!
This manual contains only description of IP Camera application! All other settings are described in Codeks
Manual. Requirements for successful work with user application is properly installed Codeks Addon IP
Camera. Pictures in this manual are screenshots taken form user application, running in web browser.

1.1. Licence Information


- Logo "Hand" is registered by OHMI (The Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market) - office for
registration of the trademarks and designs and is exclusively owned by Jantar d.o.o.. You may not copy,
imitate, rent, lease, sell, modify or otherwise use, except as provided in this or any other agreement with
the company Jantar d.o.o.. Any such unauthorized use is resulting in immediate and direct termination of
this license and may result in criminal and / or civil prosecution.

Codeks Addon IP Camera software is distributed together with Jantar hardware which means:
 All copy rights of Codeks Addon IP Camera are exclusively owned by the author, Jantar d.o.o.
 You may not use, copy, emulate, clone, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile, disassemble, otherwise
reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed program, or any subset of the licensed program, except as
provided for in this agreement. Any such unauthorized use shall result in immediate and automatic
termination of this license and may result in criminal and/or civil prosecution.
 Codeks Addon IP Camera binary code may NOT be used or reverse engineered to recreate the Codeks
access control, time and attendance or communication algorithms which are proprietary and protected by

2. Installing Software
Codeks Addon IP Camera is upgrade for Codeks AC, Codeks TA or Codeks TA Kit application. To work with
Codeks Addon IP Camera, all you need is valid licence code which you enter in License Manager window.

2.1. Enter License Code


Software Codeks Addon IP Camera will not work without a valid license code. License code for IP Camera is
unlimited and it will work as long as your license code for Codeks AC, Codeks TA or Codeks TA Kit is valid.

The license code is activated through the License Manager window that can be accessed via Codeks Service
Manager. Codeks Service Manager can be opened by double clicking on its icon, which is located on your
computer desktop, or by double clicking on the file CodeksServiceManager.exe, which can be found in the
folder C:\Program Files\Codeks.

In the Codeks Service Manager click on the Licenses button. During entering of the license code the Codeks
Service Manager must be Stoped.

License Manager window will open where you can enter license code for Codeks Addon IP Camera. Click the
Add license code button and the enter the license code.

New license code for Codeks Addon IP Camera will be added to the list of license codes with the same
validation date as your main application Codeks AC, Codeks TA or Codeks TA Kit. Click the Save button to
save the changes.

Start the Codeks Service Manager and continue with using the Codeks application.

3. IP Camera
IP Camera can be set in Codeks' Hardware Editor. IP Camera URL can be set only for passages.

3.1. Setting IP Camera URL


When you are adding or editing passages, enter IP Camera URL.

3.2. Review of Recorded Events


Events, recorded with IP Camera can be reviewed in:
 Monitor (Codeks AC and Codeks TA application) or
 Time attendance (Codeks TA Kit and Codeks TA application).

3.2.1. Monitor
Snapshots of recorded events can be seen in the Monitor under Live events or Past events. When the user
creates event on the passage, that has IP Camera URL enrolled, the camera will take a snapshot of event.

Set the filters and click Show events button.

3.2.2. Time Attendance


Snapshots of recorded events can be seen in Time attendance.

Right-click on a day and click Events on the menu.

This will open events window, where you can select IP Camera icon to see the snapshot of the event.

Picture of the user and camera snapshot of the event will be displayed in a new pop-up window.
