Power line AC Mains Line (StreetNode, OSDR w/ PoE):

overvoltage
The StreetNode PtP / PtMP terminal / PtMP hub node complies
protection
with the following safety standards:
· ETSI EN 301 489 (1 kV Line-Line, 2 kV Line-Earth).
· EN 60950 – overvoltage category II (2.5 kV).
Running the AC Mains cable for several meters outdoors, and in
premises of frequent strikes of lightning, makes StreetNode node
prone to induced surges and thus failure.
In case of possibility of surges that exceed the 2.5 kV limit,
additional external protection should be considered.
DC Line (OSDR w/ PonE):
Regarding DC power supply operation, OSDR complies with the
following safety standard:
· ETSI EN 301 489 (500 V).

Ethernet line Optionally, an inline surge protection device can be installed in

protection series with the Ethernet cable (carrying traffic / management) to
provide protection against potential surges on the Ethernet line.
Regarding OSDR, this cable is the one connected at the input of
the PoE / PonE device.
The Ethernet line surge protection device is not included in the
product packaging and can be ordered separately.

Maximum cable Below, the recommended maximum lengths are given for all the
lengths cables that will be used in the installation:
