Data Collection

This document discusses the technical, economic, and operational feasibility of a doctors appointment system. It would use PHP and MySQL and require only a computer, internet connection, and web browser to operate. The system would allow users to view doctors' information and book appointments online, replacing a manual paper-based system. It would improve data accuracy, allocation of time slots, and reduce paperwork. The costs of developing and operating the system are estimated to be recouped through increased efficiency compared to the existing manual process.

DOCTORS APPOINTMENT

Feasibility Study

1. Technical Feasibility

This system was developed using php and MySQL. All these technologies are easy to learn and
can develop system very rapidly. After developing and deploying the system, any user can view
this site on the Internet because it uses graphic user interface (GUI).

To deploy the application, the only technical aspects needed are mentioned below:
Operating system Windows
Database MySQL
Internet connection
Internet Browser
2. Economic Feasibility

The System requires development tools and software such as sublime text which are free of cost
and available on internet. For developing the system, we needed various resources such as
computers systems, internet connection for help, enough disk space, and memory speed
requirement. By looking at all these expenses and comparing with proposed system, we had
many benefits from proposed system such are:

1. As existing system is manual, where data may not accurate, up to date, and available on
time. But proposed system will be computerized, so we can overcome all limitations of
existing system. Also, with this new system insertion, deletion, and modification of
various data will be easier to handle and the doctor will have systematic time to attend to
registered patients.
2. This system has reduced the paperwork and time conflicts because each time slots are
allocated to each patient to be attended to. And quality of data will be improved. So,
keeping all above-mentioned benefits and comparing with various expenditures of
resources, we concluded that proposed system is economical feasible.
3. All hardware and software cost have to be borne by the organization. We have estimated
that the benefits the organization is going to make or receive from the proposed system
will surely surpass the initial cost and later the running cost

Operational feasibility

Users of the system must be a registered user of the website. To book, a user should have only
basic knowledge of computer and Internet which is not a big issue. Besides a proper training has
been conducted to let know the essence of the system to the users so that they feel comfortable
with the new system so that they feel comfortable with the new system

Functional Requirements:

The System provide the following functionalities—

1. Keeping records of patients.

2. Storing the feedback given by the patients who visited the doctor.
3. Keeping details about patients’ prescriptions
4. Manages information about appointment
5. Shows description and information about the doctor
6. Editing, adding and updating records
7. Manages information about booking
8. Monitoring the information and transaction of booking

Non-functional requirements will be there in the

Insurance on internet:

I. Secure access of confidential data (applicants’ details).

II. Availability of medicine
III. Better component design to get better performance at all times.
IV. Flexible service-based architecture will be highly desirable for future extension Non-
functional requirements define system properties and constraints It arise through user
needs, because of budget constraints or organizational policies, or due to the external
factors such as safety regulations, privacy registration and so on.
Various other Non-functional requirements are:

1. Security
2. Reliability
3. Maintainability
4. Portability
5. Extensibility
6. Reusability
7. Application Affinity/Compatibility

Software requirement: -

Software requirement include: -

1. Operating System: Windows or later version, which supports networking.

2. MySQL or wampp
3. sublime text as code editor, c++ notepad

DATA COLLECTION METHODS

1. Questionnaire
a. Quantitative questionnaire

Stratified random sampling was applied, in which participants were randomly selected to fill up

the questionnaires. Face-to-face semi-structured interviews were conducted with front line

hospital workers in the Department using an interview. The outcomes of those interviews were

analyzed using a thematic content analysis mechanism.

Observation

Making direct observations can be a good way of collecting simple information how to book
appointment to be attended by the doctor.
Data analysis

By what we saw from the data collection, many hospitals do manual booking which made it

difficult when booking for an appointment because there was conflict of time slots between

patients but with the proposed system, each time slot to see doctor is allocated for each patients

their no conflict of time.
