1. How would you develop a sense of Nationalism and Patriotism in you?
- Respect the Philippine flag and value the Filipino identity
Because being Filipinos, we should respect our Philippine flag and its purpose - Be a productive citizen, Be industrious and make ourselves productive, not only for ourselves but for our country as well. - Be aware of the issues in our country We must be aware and updated on the significant issues happening in the country. - Stand proud for every Filipinos achievement Filipinos is globally competitive in many aspects. They are proud to be a Filipino and for the honors they bring to our country. - Know what patriotism is. Because patriotic attitude is an understanding of a nation’s history, accomplishments, and positive contributions to culture. It also recognizes a nation’s failures and negative influence. So, knowing what patriotism includes will help conclude if your directed actions are patriotic or not. -Vote without fail. Because it is a method to make your voice heard, it actually does nothing to keep the government honest. Rather, going to vote and encouraging honest people to fight elections will be the healthy alternative.
- Buy local Prefer indigenous products.
Buying locally produced goods increases the revenue of the district and contributes to the economy of the country as well. Small scale industries grow and provide employment to the local men and women. This directly increases the viability of a country. Also, such products are good quality and the food crops are generally pesticide free and healthy.
- Support the army and active-duty military.
Being proud of them and showing you care means a lot as community support is a collective effort. Actively signing up for duty is an excellent way to literally fight for your country and show patriotism in its truest form.
- Keep your surroundings clean.
Proper waste management, recycling and composting encourages others around you to do the same resulting in a cleaner, greener country over all. Planting trees occasionally will also make the air healthy, and a lot more conducive for travellers increasing tourism.
2. In the teaching of Nationalism as a CWTS student, what will you do to
promote Nationalistic and Patriotic activities in the community? - Following laws or community service to your barangay is a simple contribute as a student
3. On Human rights, differentiate the following:
a. Political Rights from Constitutional rights. - Political rights refer to an individual’s ability to participate in the civil and political life of the society and state without fear of discrimination or repression, and is tied closely to citizenship status. - Constitutional rights The right to freedom of speech and expression, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and the right to petition. The free exercise of religion. a right of abode and the right to travel. a right to information on matters of public concern. b. Natural rights from Civil rights. - Natural rights are those that are not dependent on the laws or customs of any particular culture or government, and so are universal, fundamental and inalienable (they cannot be repealed by human laws, though one can forfeit their enjoyment through one’s actions, such as by violating someone else’s rights). Natural law is the law of natural rights. - Civil rights are a class of rights that protect individuals’ freedom from infringement by governments, social organizations, and private individuals. They ensure one’s entitlement to participate in the civil and political life of society and the state without discrimination or repression. 4. The Filipino Civic Code was formulated to ensure that patriotism can be developed. Explain how the following can ensure patriotism. a. Reverence for heroes - Our reverence and gratitude to Filipino heroes and martyrs who fought for the cause of freedom, justice, and peace, and for modern-day heroes whose contributions help build a better nation b. Respect for Law and Authority - When individuals respect the authority of social norms or the law, it assures mutual security. When people break the law, they may harm or infringe on the rights of those around them. c. Justice and Righteousness - Justice is making things right that are unfair in society; righteousness is doing right by people, especially the vulnerable. Justice is more about legal and systemic problems; righteousness is more about good deeds, acts of generosity Use the space below for you answer.
