7. Work Sequence:
 Conduct TBM before start work
 Arrangement and selection of materials, inspection of tools and
equipment, training and (HSE induction work at height training, safety
watcher) for workforce and declaring the work method.
 Mobilization of equipment, tools, workforce, signage, barricade, in order
to start the blasting for the tank handrail stair and ladder.
 Positioning and settlement and connection for blasting equipment for
ready to use and inspection and color coded for safe use.
 Provide the trained safety watcher at safe distance with proper
communication resources whistle.
 Provision of 1st aid Kit, Eye Wash, Trained 1st Aider Stretcher Emergency
Contacts.
 Provide smoking shelter and proper rest shelter.
 Explained the job by work supervisor and full time supervision by job
supervisor and work supervisor.
 All worker used proper PPE for painting activity (coverall dust mask should
be wear who involve in this job. Keep eye washer every time
 Provide drip tray for generator and only authorized person will operate or
start the generator .should be area barricaded.
 Cable on the area should be arranged properly by using cable hanger to
avoid the cutting or damage.
 Provide plastic sheet to prevent environment issue. (if required)
 Provide relevant work permit with valid S.PCM Risk Assessment, Method
statement and MSDS for thinner and paint.
 Provide a safe access and egress and remove all unwanted materials from
tank for making access and egress free.
 Install lifeline on the roof with structure for full body harness hooking to
prevent the slip hazards.
 Use man lift for approach at height for front painting and blasting for
handrail and stair check the ground condition properly for man lift should
be provide TPI certificate for man lift and operator. Operator should be
trained and skilled.
 Around the man lift area should be barricaded with safety signage.
 Before starting this activity proper coordination will maintained with
others sub contactor & SECL management in order to get approval of
starting this job. Man lift will be covered by barrier such as (cover sheet) in
order to prevent exposing the man lift to the blasting materials.
 The hoses route and cable route will be kept maintained to avoid any
incident.
 The garnet materials will be used for sand blasting and the MSDS will be
provided and explained to all workforce before start activity.
 Start of operation using pressure pot, hoses and air compressor.CPF
 luftfilter for air supply .blaster should be with appropriate PPE.
 FBH should be worn and hooked by every workers work on the roof and in
the man- lift (100% TIE OFF). Blaster and painter should be have PPE and as
per MSDS.
 The paint materials should be mobilized proper storage to the worksite
with safe transport and handling method. The shade will be provided to
prevent direct sun exposure. Paint Shall Be mixed along with thinner in
designated area, Painting shall be assembly in order to Start Painting
activity.
 Thinner never allow to take in bottle on work place. (If required mix small
quantity of paint in thinner for changing color of thinner
 Any kind of chemical not allowed to leave at open place at site. Should be
make temporary storage with barricade and signage MSDS, FE &
authorized handler.
 After completing the blasting activity collect and remove all the fallen
garnet.
 If required Hand & Power Tools will be used for cleaning Surface by
workforce.
 The Hempel paint (HEMPADUR PRO 17380(grey or black), HEMPADUR
MASTIC 45880(grey) HEMPATHANE HS 55610) will be used for painting
along with thinner (thinner No: 08450, 08080).
 Proceed with first coat painting by covering the work area.
 Continue blasting and painting with same method till completing all
handrail and stair.
 Apply second and third coat to all handrail and stair as per approve
procedure.
 After completing the job the inspection will carried out by concern
department.
 HSE ,Spv,Watcher , and Helpers Available and ManLift / Man Basket To
Rescue In Case Of Emergency occurred &Tank Staire Ladder Shall used as
Roof Rescue Method
 Housekeeping will be carried out before during and after completing the
job on daily basis.
 The tin for hazardous materials will be segregated and disposed properly
to the designated area.

HSE Requirements/Precautions:
1 Inducted, Trained & medically fit for job workers (HSE Induction, WAH, Watcher, and
Emergency Procedures).
2 Mandatory & Job specific PPE’s in accordance (Basic PPE, Special Mask, and FBH).
3 Daily TBM before start of activity , Pre start Check will carried out for painting activity
4 Valid work permits with updated risk assessment, Method Statement & relevant certificates.
5 Conducting special training / drill for awareness of the particular activity hazards.
6 Work area barricading & relevant signage according to SECL HSE regulation.
7 Full time First aid facility and emergency response preparedness.
8 Full time job supervision by HSE supervisor and job supervisor.
9 Pre & Post inspection of activity, tools, Equipment’s, work area, weather condition activity,
Illumination.
1 Pre & Post housekeeping for work area to eliminate the residual hazards.
