Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for Admission Process 2020

When the admission process for Degree Engineering is likely to start?


The process of registration for Degree Engineering is likely to start in end of June.
However, the examination of CBSE, ISCE, JEE(Main) and GUJCET are pending but
students can register prior to the same.

Will there be any PIN distribution this time like previous?


Due to current COVID-19 situation, the entire admission process will be online. No
physical interface required in normal process. Hence, the registration will not
required PIN as earlier. After registration, candidate need to pay registration fees
ONLINE through Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI interfaces.

The registration charges will be as follows :

Do I need to register differently for different courses?


No. You do not required to register differently for different courses. The common
application is available by single registration.
What documents are needed to register or create profile?
You need following documents (in electronic form/scan/.pdf) ready for smooth
registration .
(1) Passport size Photograph (100 kb or lower) (.jpeg format)
(2) Birth Date Proof/ School Leaving certificate/Aadhar Card (200kb or lower) (.pdf
format)
(3) Scan copy / internet copy of HSC mark-sheet (hall ticket copy if result is awaited)
(.pdf format)
(4) Scan copy of valid Income certificate, if eligible for TFWs (.pdf format)
(5) Scan copy of valid Caste certificate , if applicable (.pdf format)
(6) Scan copy of valid In-serviceman / Ex-serviceman category, if applicable (.pdf
format)
Along with the same, candidate should keep credentials required for online
admission process ready. This transaction will be through Credit Card/Net
Banking/UPI.
Which documents I need for first time online registration?
For online registration, you need the following documents:

Along with the same candidate must have following documents if they entitled to
get benefits of following category/schemes :

Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/SEBC/EWS Category issued by competent


authority of Government of Gujarat.
Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in case of SEBC Candidate issued by
competent authority of Government of Gujarat.
Valid family Income certificate in case of eligibility of TFWs seats issued by
competent authority of Government of Gujarat. However, the scheme is not
available for Architecture and Master of Engineering and Pharmacy courses.
Physically disabled (more than 40%) certificate from District civil surgeon in case
of PH category.
Certificate issued by commanding officer (for in serviceman) or District Sainink
welfare board (for ex- serviceman) to avail benefit in DS category
What are the fees to be paid for registration at the cyber space centres?
The designated cyber space centres are for facilitation purpose at free of cost.
There is no separate fees to be paid at help centre for registration.
Can I do online registration at home?
Yes. From anywhere, Where the internet facility available.
I am unable to register online, can I do it manually?
No. You have to register online within time limit specified by ACPC.

How can I edit registration details before and after confirming?


Before confirmation of registration, you can edit registration details through
online. After confirmation of registration, you have to reach put request through
mail to acpc.
If the income certificate is in the name of mother, will it be valid?
If your father is alive, income certificate in the name of mother is not valid. Incase
of death of father, income certificate in name of mother is valid and student need
to submit photocopy of death certificate of father.
From whom can I get certificate of caste, income, physically handicapped and In/ex-
service men?

The following authorities are designated by the State Government for issue of
certificates:
Caste Certificate (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) : District Collector, Deputy Collector,
Assistant Collector, Social Welfare Officer/District Development Officer/Dy.
District Development Officer/Taluka Development Officer, Mamlatdar. (officers
must be from Government of Gujarat)

Income certificate: District Collector, Deputy Collector, Assistant Collector, Prant


Officer, Mamlatdar./D.D.O./T.D.O. (officers must be from Government of Gujarat)
Physically handicapped certificate: Government Medical officer countersign by
Civil surgeon.

In-Servicemen: Commanding officer of unit where serving.


Ex- Servicemen: Director, Sainik Welfare Board, Gujarat State or the District Sainik
Welfare Officer.

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate: District Collector, Deputy Collector, Assistant


Collector, Prant Officer, Mamlatdar/D.D.O./T.D.O. (officers must be from
Government of Gujarat)
What should I do if the name in School LC and caste certificate/ income certificate is not
matching?
You should get the income certificate corrected from the issuing authority
immediately.
I have registered in open category and now I have the certificate for
Caste/Income/PH/ESM. How can I change category?
For change in category, reach any Help Centre with original as well as photocopy
of the certificate, within the Stipulated time limit stipulated by ACPC.
Can I avail the benefits of reservation if I am from DAMAN & DIU/DNH ?
Yes, if you are domicile of Gujarat.
If I have appeared in JEE(Main) and GUJCET both, can i apply in both together?
If you have passed your qualifying examination from schools located in Gujarat or
your parents are Gujarat origin or belongs to category of services as mentioned in
Rule, you can apply and eligible for both criteria of admission.
For Degree Engineering and Degree / Diploma Pharmacy
If I have studied outside Gujarat, what is the procedure for admission through ACPC?
If you are not origin of Gujarat and have appeared in JEE(Main) for Engineering or
JEE(Main)/NEET for Pharmacy, you are eligible for 5% seats of Government and Grant-in-
Aid institutions.
For Degree Engineering and Degree / Diploma Pharmacy
If I have studied outside Gujarat, what is the procedure for admission through ACPC?
If you are domicile of Gujarat and appeared in GUJCET, submit the domicile
certificate. If you have appeared in JEE(Main), you can also fill those details.
For Degree Engineering and Degree / Diploma Pharmacy
If I have studied outside Gujarat, can I avail benefit of reservation or chances to include
in online process of Government seats?

No. But in exceptional cases as per rule No. 5(3) notification of Education
Department of Government of Gujarat of Bachelor of Engineering and Technology
(3) A candidate who has passed the Qualifying Examination from any other State
and, -
(i) has appeared in GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year; and
(ii) whose parents are serving in the category of services as shown below and who
are transferred from other States to Gujarat and have resumed their duties in the
place where they are transferred in Gujarat and shall remain so transferred in the
State of Gujarat at the time of registration for admission, shall be eligible for
admission and his candidature shall be included in the merit list prepared in
accordance with the provisions of rule 11.
Category of Services:-
(a) Officers or Employees of Central Government; or
(b) Officers or Employees of Public Sector Undertakings of Central Government or
any State Government; or
(c) Officers or Employees of nationalized banks; or
(d) Officers or Employees of United Nations, UNICEF, World Health Organization
and such other International Institutions located in Gujarat State; or
(e) Gujarat Cadre Officers of Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service or
Indian Forest Service working in Gujarat or working in other States on deputation;
or
(f) Officers or Employees of Gujarat Government posted outside Gujarat State for
administrative reasons.
What is the level of disability for availing seats under PH (Physically Handicapped) quota?
Not less than 40% disability.
If both parents are not alive then who can act as guardian for caste and
incomecertificate?
Legal guardian. If there is no legal guardian the candidate shall be considered as
orphan and in such case no income certificate is required. But orphan certificate is
required.
If a student is applying for TFWS, is he considered for that particular category?
Yes, subject to valid income certificate issued by competent authority.
What are the criteria for eligibility for admission through ACPC for Degree Engineering
course?
For admission in Degree Engineering, passed HSCE (Std. XII, 10+2 pattern) in
Science Stream with 45 % marks for Open (40 % for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) in theory
only or theory and practical with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects
along with Chemistry/ Biology/Bio-Technology or Technical Vocational as one of
the Subject in qualifying examination.
What are the criteria for eligibility for admission through ACPC for Degree/Diploma
Pharmacy course?
For admission in Degree/Diploma Pharmacy, passed HSCE (Std. XII, 10+2 pattern)
in Science Stream with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with
Mathematics / Biology/Bio-Technology or Technical Vocational as one of the
Subject in qualifying examination.
How the eligibility is calculated, from percentage for Degree Engineering?
For eligibility, a candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and
Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /
Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject and obtained at least 45%
marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above
subjects taken together.
How are merit marks calculated for GSEB/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS for Degree Engineering
admissions?
Sum of sixty percentageweightage of the percentile obtained in the theorysubjects
(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and forty percentage weightage of the
percentile obtained in the GUJCET-2020 shall be the merit marks.
How can I check my merit rank?
Merit rank will be issued on the day of declaration of merit rank. Candidate can
verify their rank by log in into their module at NIC website. The same will be
reflected in registration details. Candidate can also check allotted rank on
www.jacpcldce.ac.in.
Where can I get information about the various colleges and branches coming under
ACPC?
From Information Booklet provided with PIN and from website www.jacpcldce.in
and www.gujacpc.nic.in.
How much choices one candidate can fill?
Candidate can fill all available choices to him. There are no maximum criteria of
choices in choice filling module.
How can a candidate change the filled choices?
Yes. But within a stipulated time decided by ACPC.
If filled choices are not locked, is it safe to logout?
There is no need to lock filled choice until you complete your choice filling.
However, the choice filled so far should be saved before logout.
How many times can choices be edited?
Unlimited. But within a stipulated time decided by ACPC.
If a candidate wants to go for reshuffling, does he need to report at admitted institute?
No.
If a candidate wants to go for reshuffling, does he need to pay the fees at the admitted
institute?
No. Candidates are supposed to pay fees only after completion of online
admission process.
If I get admission of choice in mock round, can I secure it?
No. Mock round is a practice round.
If the seats in reserved quota are full, can the candidate from SC/ST/SEBC/PH/ESM/EWS
get admission in Open category?
This Question does not arise, because, category candidates have been allotted first
in open category seats, if that seat not available than only reserved category seats
will be allotted.
If a SC/ST/SEBC candidate gets admission under open category, will he be eligible for
scholarship from govt?
Yes, if the candidate meets other requirements for eligible for scholarship.
What is the procedure for admission for NRI/NRI sponsor candidate?
As per the guidelines issued by ACPC, which is available on website
www.jacpcldce.ac.in
How can I update my result, if there is a change after rechecking?
Submit a photocopy of mark sheet / letter from concern board of rechecking
result at ACPC immediately on declaration of updated result within time limit of
one week.
Where is the information for fee structure of self finance institutes?
Refer Fee Regulatory Committee website www.frctech.ac.in. Fee details also provided
in the Information Booklet.
After allotment, in how many days do we have to report at admitted institute?
Within 3 working days. If you don’t want to participate in next round of Admission.
Candidates are supposed to pay fees only after completion of online admission
process.
If I have already paid the fees for admission in first round, do I have to pay the fees for
subsequent rounds?
As printed on the Bank Challan copy to be auto-generated with information letter.
Is there any reservation or special quota for girls?
No.
How and when do I get information for availability of vacant seats in various institutes?
Immediately after allotment of seat at each round and on website
www.jacpcldce.ac.in.
How can I check where else could I have got admission?
From the cut-off marks details put up on website after each round of allotment of
seats.
What is the procedure for admission in Management Quota?
As per the guidelines issued by ACPC, which is available on website
www.jacpcldce.ac.in.
Candidate need to approach to respective Self-Finance institute with registration
details. \The institute must declare MQ admission counselling schedule.
Where can I get the form for management quota and where should I submit it?
As per the guidelines issued by ACPC, which is available on website
www.jacpcldce.ac.in. Candidate need to approach to respective Self-Finance
institute with registration details. The applicant must have ACPC merit rank
number for eligible in management seats.
If I opt for management quota admission, am I still eligible for admission in regular quota?
Yes.

If I get admission in management quota can I go for reshuffling?


Yes.
How to confirm my allotted seat?
Candidate can verify their allotment status by log-in in his module. The result
section will display allotment status. In case of zero fess payment candidate can
confirm his admission by accepting admission.
Rest of candidates can confirm their admission by paying token tuition fees Online
through link provided in your module.
