THE CORRECT GUIDELINE TO LEARN ENGLISH


[Narration ]
If you want to know about narration , you will need to know 5 steps.
This is 5 steps :
1.Person change
2.Tense change
3.Reporting verb and Inverted comma change
4.word change
5.Word exchange
6.Sentence joining
Now, I’m discussing about 1 step. (read and memorized carefully)
1.Person change:
1st Person Changed based on R.V Subjects(He said, ``I’m happy.”)
2nd Person Changed based on R.V Objects (He said to me , ``You should do this
.”)
3rd Person Not Changed

2.Tense change :
Present Indefinite/Simple Present Tense -Simple Past Tense
Present Continuous tense - Past Continuous tense
Present Perfect Tense - Past Perfect Tense
Present Continuous Perfect Tense - Past Continuous Perfect Tense
Past Indefinite/Simple Past Tense - Past Perfect Tense
Past Continuous tense - Past Continuous Perfect Tense
Past Perfect Tense - Not Changed
Past Continuous Perfect Tense – Not Changed

3. Reporting verb and Inverted comma change :

1.Assartive Sentence - say/said/said to/tell/told - that . 2.Interogative

For R. S starts with Let’s – proposed/suggest - that
For R. S starts with Let him/me/them – tell/beg/wish/…. - that
4.Optative Sentence –pray/prayed/wish/wished – that
5.Exclamatory Sentence-

Must –Had to Tomorrow-The next day/the following day

Must – had to (if must indicate universal truth then it not changed)
Last night/week/month - the previous night/week/month

5. Word exchange:

3.No- replied in the negative

5.ok/alright/right- it was ok, it was right

2. sohel asked Alok,`` Friday, have you ever visited the national memorial at
Savar in Dhaka? Wow, how splendid it is!’’ ``yes, I haven’t yet gone there. But I
must visit there after the SSC exam is over .’’ `` it has been built in memory of
the martyrs of our liberation war. May god bless their souls,’’ sohel said.

3.`` what are you writing?’’ the angel looked up and replied in a sweet tone .
``the names of those who love the almighty’’ `` and is my name here?’’ asked
abu. `` no, your name is not here .’’ `` please write my name as one who loves
his fellow men.’’

4. `` good morning, kiron,’’ said harun. ``how much preparation have you taken
for the ssc examination? ‘’ `` a great preparation,’’ kiron replied. `` wow! What
an intelligent boy!’’ said haron . `` but my preparation is not so good .’’

5. `` excuse me, could you please tell me about a credit card?’’ said a customer.
The banker said, `` yes, it’s very mysterious to many people. Let us see it.’’ ``
what does it look like?’’ `` it looks like a phone card,’’ said the banker.

6.`` good morning student, ‘’said the teacher. ``how are you?’’ `` we are fine sir.
What about you?’’ `` I am fine too. Please, sit down,’’ `` have you prepared your
lesson?’’ the teacher asked,`` sorry, sir, we have not prepared our lesson,’’ they
replied.

7. Facebook, have you done your English lesson today ? ``asked the teacher. ‘’
yes, sir,’’ she replied. `` but, I have not understood one grammatical point.’’ The
teacher assured her saying, ‘’ come to my room; I will help you understand the
point.’’ `` thank you, sir,’’ she smilingly said.

8. `` I have got GPA-5 in the SSC Examination,’’ said sohel.`` congratulations!’’


said I. `` what do you intend to do now?’’ `` I want to study in a reputed collage.
I’ll try to get admission in Dhaka collage,’’ sohel replied.
