Our planet Earth is only a tiny part of the universe, and it is so far

the only place where human beings can live.


until now pollution was not such a huge problem. People lived in the
countryside and couldn’t produce such amount of pollution that would
lead to a dangerous situation on a global scale.
With the development of industrial cities, which create huge amounts of
pollutants, the problem has become real. Nowadays our planet is in
serious danger. Global warming, acid rains, air and water pollution,
overpopulation are the problems that threaten human lives on the Earth
The electric companies are gradually replacing coal, the worst
polluter, with oil and natural gas in their power stations. They have also
developed ways of reducing emissions of harmful gases.
Another approach is to use renewable types of energy to produce
electricity. As yet, these are neither as cheap nor as easy to use as fossil
fuels. Although wind power is becoming increasingly popular, other
forms of energy may have to wait until cheaper ways of using them are
found or governments become more concerned about protecting the
environment.
The Government’s policy is that the countryside should be
safeguarded for its own sake and non-renewable and natural resources
should be afforded protection. Since the Second World War
conservation efforts have concentrated on designating and protecting
those areas of countryside which are most important for landscape and
wildlife. The priority now is to find new ways of enriching the quality of
the whole countryside while accommodating appropriate development,
in order to complement the protection which designations offer.
People should consider their attitude to the environment. Some
progress has already been made in this direction. Numerous conferences
have been held by a lot of agencies to discuss problems facing
ecologically poor regions including the Aral Sea, the South Urals,
Kuzbass, Donbass and Chernobyl. Greenpeace is also doing much to
preserve the environment.
What can we do to save our planet? First of all, people should switch to
alternative forms of power, such as solar power or wind power.
Secondly, the use of atomic power must be banned. Thirdly, we need to
recycle. It’s the art of turning waste into new products. It would be a
good idea if people started riding bicycles instead of driving cars. We
are obliged to protect nature. If everybody cares, it will make a
difference.
Governments must do more to protect the environment. For years,
Scientists and people all around the world have been telling us that we
must change our ways and put a stop to climate change. Despite this,
The governments have refused to do anything. It is predicted that by
2050, Temperatures will have increased by 1 – 3 degrees. Sea levels are
rising by 3. 2 mm every year.We have already started to see the effects
that climate change is having on our weather, And the climate is only
going to get worse. By the end of the century temperatures could have
increased by 6 degrees and sea levels by 40 meters. Catastrophic natural
disasters and weather will start destroying humanity. The governments
lack of action is causing this. If they don’t act soon, You will destroy our
future, And destroy the lives of future generations.

Мы всегда загрязняли окружающую среду. Но до сих пор загрязнение не


было такой огромной проблемой. Люди жили в сельской местности и не
могли производить такое огромное количество загрязнения, которое могло
бы привести к опасной ситуации в глобальном масштабе.
Электроэнергетические компании постепенно заменяют уголь, который
является самым большим загрязнителем, нефтью и природным газом на
своих электростанциях. Они также разработали способы сокращения
выбросов вредных газов.
Другой подход заключается в использовании возобновляемых видов
энергии для производства электроэнергии. Пока что они не так дешевы и не
так просты в использовании, как ископаемое топливо. Хотя энергия ветра
становится все более популярной, другие виды энергии, возможно, придется
подождать, пока не будут найдены более дешевые способы их использования
или правительства не станут больше заботиться о защите окружающей
среды.
Политика правительства заключается в том, что сельская местность
должна быть защищена ради нее самой, а невозобновляемые и природные
ресурсы должны быть защищены. После Второй мировой войны усилия по
охране природы были сосредоточены на обозначении и защите тех районов
сельской местности, которые наиболее важны для ландшафта и дикой
природы . В настоящее время приоритетной задачей является поиск новых
путей повышения качества всей сельской местности при одновременном
обеспечении соответствующего развития, с тем чтобы дополнить защиту,
которую предлагают обозначения.
Люди должны обдумать свое отношение к окружающей среде. В этом
направлении уже достигнут определенный прогресс. Различные организации
проводят многочисленные конференции для обсуждения проблем, с
которыми сталкиваются экологически бедные регионы, включая Аральское
море, Южный Урал, Кузбасс, Донбасс и Чернобыль. Организация «Гринпис»
также делает много для сохранения окружающей среды.

Что мы можем сделать, чтобы спасти нашу планету? Прежде всего, люди
должны переключиться на альтернативные формы энергии, такие как
солнечная энергия или энергия ветра. Во–вторых, использование атомной
энергии должно быть запрещено. В–третьих, нам нужно перерабатывать. Это
искусство превращения отходов в новые продукты. Было бы неплохо, если
бы люди начали кататься на велосипедах, а не водить автомобили. Мы
обязаны защищать природу. Если все будут заботится, это изменит
ситуацию.
Правительства должны делать больше для защиты окружающей среды.
В течение многих лет ученые и люди во всем мире говорили нам, что мы
должны изменить наши пути и положить конец изменению климата.
Несмотря на это, правительства отказались что-либо предпринимать.
Прогнозируется, что к 2050 году температура воздуха повысится на 1-3
градуса. Уровень моря поднимается на 3. 2 мм каждый год, Мы уже начали
видеть последствия, которые изменение климата оказывает на нашу погоду,
через некоторые из возросших стихийных бедствий, которые мы испытали, и
климат будет только ухудшаться. Причиной этого является бездействие
правительств. Если они не начнут действовать в ближайшее время, вы
разрушите наше будущее и разрушите жизни будущих поколений. Почему
мы не заслуживаем шанса прожить полноценную жизнь? Мы должны
изменить наши методы, чтобы предотвратить эту проблему. Мы должны
измениться сегодня.
