What is the meaning of Dinput mode and Xinput mode:

D stands for Dinput, the abbreviation of Direct Input, a set of
API related to mouse, keyboard, joystick and other game control

Games like “Need for Speed 6 to 10”, “Split Second” are
developed basing on the standards of Direct Input API interface.

X stands for Xinput, the abbreviation of Xbox Input, a 360 gamepad mode. In order to promote
its game console Xbox 360 and migrated PC games, Microsoft added a Xinput API interface
standard. A “Games-for-Windows” logo on the game cover means that the game needs
gamepad with Xinput mode support and games in this category include “F1 2010”, “Colin
McRae Rally Dirt 2” and many other games.

Both of these two modes are input standards set by Microsoft specifically for Windows-
compatible gaming equipment and Xinput is the newer standard among them.
In order to support both the old titles based on the Dinput mode and newer games based on
Xinput mode, GPD WIN integrates both gamepad modes and allows hassle-free switching
between them. Switching to icon “D” means the gamepad is in Dinputgamepad mode; to “X”
icon means the same is in Xinputgamepad mode; switching to the “Mouse” icon means the pad
is in mouse mode, upon which L1, L2 function as the left mouse button, R1, R2 as the right
mouse button.

4. Disable automatic update of Win10

Step 1: Of course, many people are using Windows 10 Home Edition for which Group Policy

help us complete daily tasks. However, the negative point about Cortana is that it collects the
user's personal information, which might be prone to leakage. So how can we completely
disable Cortana? It can be done through different methods, we will discuss the same in the text
below:
Method one. Use the registry to disable Cortana
Users of Win10 Home Edition can disable Cortana functionality directly from the registry:
1. Use Windows + R shortcut key to open the “Run” – type in regedit to open the Registry
Editor.
2. Navigate to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \
Microsoft \ Windows \
3. Create a new item called Windows Search.

Step 5: Enter “Windows Firewall” and select “Enable or Disable Windows Firewall”

4. Create a DWORD (32-bit) value called AllowCortana under Windows Search and
set its value to 0.

10. Turn off the system restore function

Ok, if you have tried the above methods and still get the driver failure, use this driver for
overriding installation. However, it is recommended to completely uninstall the current driver
before installing this driver.

Remember to over-write the original driver before upgrading.
Method 2: Use shortcut key to bring up the game. As we are in the game interface, press
and hold CTRL + ALT + DEL to bring up the Task Manager.

Use ALT + TAB to bring up the game and continue.

This is a DX BUG of the integrated graphics in WIN10. Do not update to the latest graphics
card driver, otherwise the game will crash immediately.
Method 3: Adjust the Intel graphics card by turning off its energy-saving mode Method 4: Game crashes caused by the input errors
Step 1: Click “Intel Core Graphics” in the system tray. Any one playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse with gpd knows that the game will crash after ten
minutes or so, and this is the case for many other games as well, including ESTIVAL VERSUS
and Warring States Warriors 4-2.
The figure below shows a pop-up error of the crash, if you have experienced a similar crash, try

This error is caused by a win10 bug.

Step 1: Switch input method
By default, use Ctrl + space bar to switch to input method in English.
As we all use input method in Chinese by default, which will cause havoc in the background
when you are pressing the buttons (you cannot see it, but it is there). In some games, even the
Caps Lock key won't help, so it is best to set the default input method in English.

For example, I choose Windows XP SP3 which means that the game runs on Windows XP SP3
with no problem.

Graphics Control Panel - select Power - disable Display Power Saving Technology, then
restart the machine.

Note: Note that, it is not the case that games supporting Windows XP SP3 can not run on the
Windows 10 platform. In fact, no one can tell you exactly which games can only be run on
which platform. Windows 10 platform can support games developed for older platforms. In
addition to the works done by Microsoft in the development of new operating systems for
application compatibility with respect to old platforms, game compatibility is also affected by
the fact whether we have installed all the runtime-files we mentioned before.

VII. System FAQ

System is broken, how can I re-install it?
Special reminder: Make sure that there is more than 50% capacity in the battery
(The charging current in WINPE mode is only 500mA, you need to ensure adequate power
