 Specialty Solutions
Conducting

heat or coolness to another. For this type of
application, 3M 425 or 3M 1470 Metal Foil Tapes
can provide solutions. Excellent heat conductivity
improves the energy and thermal efficiency.

Shielding
Sensitive surfaces often times need to be shielded
from harsh chemicals, heat or the cold of
surrounding operations. 3M 363 Metal Foil Tape
has a multitude of solutions for this set of needs.

Noise Reduction
Vibration caused noise on the surfaces can be
minimized with 3M 2542 Damping Foil Specialty
Tape. This tape converts vibrational energy to
negligible dissipating heat.

 Specialty Solutions
Slick Surface
3M UHMW Tapes provide a slick surface eliminating
the friction and can be used for squeak and rattle
applications. These product family has a great
abrasion resistance as well.

Ventilation
3M Venting Tape 394 & 3294 are used to cover
openings in the cabinets of refrigerator during the
foam-in-place manufacturing process. The air-
permeable, non-woven backings are designed to keep
foam inside the appliance cavities, while eliminating
voids.

Temporary Fixing
3M Filament Tape 8915 is a clear polypropylene
backing reinforced with glass yarn filaments. 3M
Strapping Tape 8899HP has a high strength, tensilized
polypropylene backing. It provides balanced adhesion
and stain resistance on surfaces such as painted
metals, stainless steel, plastic and glass.
