Professional Semester III (September 2020 – December 2020)
Taught Grade 9 Science, Art, Literacy and French.
 Grade 9 Science: taught two classes covering the units Biological Diversity and Matter and Chemical
Change.
 Grade 9 Art: co-taught to one class for three, five-week cycles. Students completed projects using various
methods and techniques, such as, painting, sketching, digital art and art critiques.
 Developed and implemented a literacy program for three Grade 9 classes in order to improve vocabulary
and comprehension skills of students.
 Observed and taught a lesson in a Grade 9 French course where students had varying French knowledge.
 Actively involved with meetings and discussions of students’ learning during Parent-Teacher Interviews
and ongoing throughout the semester.
 Adapted lesson materials and learned new technologies to support the needs of students, including
resources for a visually impaired student.
 Transitioned to online classes during the last three weeks of practicum.
 Due to Covid-19 restrictions, no extra-curriculars were operating at the school.

GILBERT PATERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL, Lethbridge, AB.


Professional Semester II (February 2020 – March 2020: This practicum was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic)
Taught Grade 6 Math and Science.
 Taught Grade 6 Math to two classes, completing the Shapes and Space: Transformations unit. Daily math
skills were taught at the beginning of each lesson to enhance confidence and speed in regular operations.
Math games were also created and implemented to teach math skills and concepts in novel ways.
 Taught Grade 6 Science to two classes where students began the Flight Unit experimenting with hands-on
learning and online simulations.

ST. TERESA OF CALCUTTA SCHOOL, Lethbridge, AB.


Professional Semester I (November 2019 – December 2019)
Taught a multi-age classroom of Grade 3 and 4: Science, Physical Education, Art, Literacy, Health.
 Taught the Science unit Hearing and Sound. Students completed an inquiry lab and created instruments as
a final project.
 Created a soundwave art project to tie into their science unit. Students created a soundwave of their voice
and created a crayon resist with water colour.
 Collaborated with my practicum teachers to choreograph a performance for the Christmas concert.
Students were taught sign language to accompany their performance.

ATHLETICS COACH – CHEERLEADING AND TUMBLING (August 2016 – July 2020)
PERFECT STORM ATHLETICS LETHBRIDGE, Lethbridge, AB.
Lead coach for recreational and competitive programs
 Coach competitive cheerleading teams as well as tumbling classes to children ages 3 -18 years old.
 Responsible for lesson plans and creating engaging activities for each class.

SCHOOL CHEERLEADING TEAM HEAD COACH (September 2018 – May 2019)


GS LAKIE AND SENATOR JOYCE FAIRBAIRN MIDDLE SCHOOL, Lethbridge, AB.
Head coach for the middle school cheerleading team in District 51.
 Coached a team of middle school students and travelled to competitions throughout southern Alberta.
 Worked with the school board and parents to meet administrative protocols in order to run the program
successfully.

 Communicated with parents regularly on their athletes’ progress.

Counsellor at an overnight camp for children in elementary and junior high school.

 The 2016-2017 women’s captain, 2017-2018 Vice President and 2018-2019 President of the club.
