ANDONOX MCP-99
DESCRIPTION
Andonox MCP-99 is a solution of Methyl ethyl ketone peroxides and cumyl hydroperoxide in
phlegmatizer. Andonox MCP-99 is a liquid polymerisation initiator for the room temperature
cure of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins with the following advantages/properties.
PRODUCT DATA
APPLICATION
Andonox MCP-99 has a flat and low exotherm curve which ends up in a good 24h cure. This
curing behaviour reduces stress, cracking and shrinkage problems in laminates & castings.
Less shrinkage also means less fibre print through of gel coated surfaces.
The gel time is similar or slightly slower compared to standard MEKP products.
Andonox MCP-99 can be used when you want to build up thick laminates in one step, or if
the laminate has big variations in thickness, or when you have high resin loadings. Typical
applications are vacuum bag moulding of big units, filament winding of pipes & tanks with
thicker laminates or polyester concrete systems with high resin-to-filler ratio.
PACKAGING
Standard packing sizes are 25 and 5 kg net weight

STORAGE
HANDLING
• Inform all personnel of procedures for safe handling and review safety data sheet with
them.
• Remove from storage area only the amount needed for one shift.
• Wear safety glasses or goggles and chemical resistant gloves.
• Keep away from heat, flames, and sparks.
• Avoid breathing vapours.
• Dilution is not allowed. Never dilute with acetone.
• Never add peroxides directly to promoters or vice-versa, violent decomposition can occur.
• Prevent contamination such as contact with dust, over-spray, wood, and combustible
material. Avoid contact with materials other than polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon,
Tygon, or similar materials, glass or glass-lined steel, and 304, 316, SS2343 stainless
steel or equivalent.
FIRST AID
