Goal #1: I want to form meaningful professional relationships with my students, demonstrating
enthusiasm and commitment to the students and their learning, helping establish positive classroom
climate and mutual trust and respect.

Indicators of Success & Reflection:


1. For the first goal, one of the pieces that has become clear to me is how important it is to make this
a priority no matter how far along I am in my profession. As I moved forward in my practicum
establishing a connection with the kids became a key aspect of my experience and was shown in
the trust and respect that was mutually seen between us.
2. The second goal was one that was most difficult and although I feel I’ve made progress in it, it is
also more complex than I expected it to be. Planning Lessons and the feedback I’ve received have
shown me that different subjects require different types of lesson plans. Overall I feel that
through my experience in practicum I have been able to more quickly create and include the most
important aspects of a lesson plan, including new portions that are needed and removing those
that were not.
3. The third goal that I set for myself was the one that I can most clearly see that I have improved
upon, as I have had many opportunities to both practice speaking clearly and enunciating, but also
not stuttering as much. This is a skill I used very often during my lessons but also during my
opportunities to read out loud to the class. This is a skill that was even more so helped by the fact
that I had to speak carefully due to wearing a mask this semester.

In conclusion I feel that I have achieved or improved upon the skills and goals that I set for myself during
this practicum. Something I feel that has been reflected in my formative reports.
