Order/Quote Form Instructions

Complete top portion of form as shown. For direct shipments requiring freight quotes, specify
destination city, state, and postal code. Include project name and estimated shipment date for
automated tracking purposes. If additional space in any cell is required, cells can be enlarged.
Select "Review" tab, then "Unprotect Sheet." This will allow column widths to be changed. Use
caution in this mode since other cells that were protected against change can now be altered. Wh
formatting is complete, Select "Review", then click on "Protect Sheet" to return to the protected
mode. Changing cell size will affect the print layout but will not be a problem if the form is
transmitted electronically.

Specify jamb depth (same as throat opening) in inches and 1/8ths of an inch. First digit is inche
Jamb Depth second digit is number of eighths. Example: 53 is 5 3/8", 72 is 7 1/4" (2/8" = 1/4"). Jamb depth
order size is always 1/8" larger than plan wall thickness. If walls are jobsite measured, order exa

Saving, Printing and Sending

Once your quote request or order is completed, you can easily Save, Print, and/or Send a copy
now unique to your project or customer, we suggest setting up a separate folder for quote reque
customer order or project file. This form can be saved like any Excel file providing you have th
correct path to save the document. Saving the form allows you to retrieve, view, edit, print o
instructions that follow.

To Save a completed Quote or Order


Excel 2003
Step 1: On the Excel Task Bar – Select “File” and left click,
Step 2: From the drop down list, select “Save As” and left click
A list of possible locations appears as a drop down
1) Choose a Path or master Folder
2) AND/OR Create a new folder
3) AND/OR Open an existing folder
Step 3: Name the document to be saved (Customer, Project, Quote, Order)
Step 4: Click “Save” button

This saves a copy of the entire workbook so the document can be re-open

To Print a completed Quote or Order


Excel 2003
Step 1: On the Excel Task Bar – Click “File” and left click
Step 2: From the drop down list, select “Print” and left click
Step 3: A display box showing the printer and options will appear. Verify

The printed copy can be filed in a project folder, faxed to Timely as a quote request or purchase
You can also fax to your customer to verify all jobsite requirements

To Print a selected area only

If you would like to print a single page instead of both pages of a quote request or order, use the
the area you want to print. Click on the upper left most cell and move the cursor to the lower righ
release. The selected area is hi-lighted. Follow steps 1 and 2 above. When you see the "Print"
Step 3, select the option for "Print Selection." When "OK" is selected, the printer will print only th

To Send a completed Quote or Order via email

Step 1: Open your Email program and select “New” or “Compose” to originate a new message
Step 2: Enter recipient in “TO:” box. This is the email address of your Timely customer s
representative (consisting of the first initial and last name)@timelyframes.com
Example: [email protected]
Step 3: Type any message you wish to send in the body of the email
Step 4: On the task bar, select “Insert” or “Attach Files” or other method your email program u
selecting a file to be sent via email
Step 5: Open the Excel program and locate the saved file (see “Save” instructions above)
Step 6: Select the file to be sent
Step 7: Select “Insert” or “attach file”
Step 8: Click on “Send” button

The sent file will contain the Quote and/or Order sheet with the complete workbook including
tabs. This will not significantly affect transmittal speed or storage since the workbook pages con
formulas or extensive data bases.
