You are going to listen to two film critics, Jonathan and Sally, speaking on a
radio programme about two films:

Helter Skelter

Time Out
As you listen to the radio programme for the first time, identify which of the
three people (the two critics and the presenter) says the following. Write J
(Jonathan), S (Sally) or P (presenter).

a) The UK has had a lot of recent success with one certain type of film. (P)

b) The humour in Helter Skelter comes from the absurdity of what the main
character is asked to do. (S)

c) I started to feel uncomfortable during the film. (J)

d) I think the cast selection creates an unrealistic situation. (J)

a) I mean, I'll just give you a quick synopsis of what movie is about first.

b) He gets up to a lot of perfectly innocent things but from the outside, it


seems as if he's about set off some killing spree.

i) I understand that De La Pena really pushed for Miami and there is definitely a
real, authentic Latin flavor to the film.

j) I think he was parachuted into the movie to give at least a little star appeal…

k) I heard that De La Pena saw this kid on TV and absolutely had to have him, at
least for an audition.

l) It's nice to see you both agree with each other for once!
