Dear Colleague,
In conjunction with the release of the new AP60 Autopilot, we are pleased to announce new hardware and software changes
incorporated into the AC70 Autopilot Computer. These changes make the AC70 more resilient to noise entering via the
NMEA0183 RX port and Rudder Feedback input.
All AC70s leaving the factory from August include these changes and were implemented from Serial Number 768 onwards.
The software included from Serial Number 768 onwards is 1.1.02.06, and contains the following enhancements:
Further robustness against noise entering via the Rudder Feedback input
Remotes continue to be operational during an alarm condition; previously they were disabled
Fix for unintended ‘Thruster inhibit’ alarm.
From s/n 881 onwards, the software version is 1.1.02.07. This version contains an additional fix for random Rudder test
failure for slow moving rudders (>20 sec.)
If you upgrade AC70s with this software, please ensure all other devices in the autopilot system are upgraded or contain the
latest 1.1.02.xx software (xx could be any number).
