IT Asset Policy and Agreement

The Laptop/Desktop/Mobile device/other IT assets has been issued to the said individual
with the below mentioned understanding:

Care:

 Employee is responsible for taking care of the equipment (laptop, PC, Mobile, tablet,
peripherals, etc.) while it is assigned to you for your exclusive and office use only.
 The employee shall be liable to replace or pay an equivalent amount to the
organization in case of theft, loss or damage to the property. The organization retains
the right to deduct the same from the salary in case of such an event
 In case of any malfunction, employees are required to report the same to the IT
Department, – Please contact EUS Support Team – [email protected]
 Malfunctioning equipment will be replaced if possible and available.
 Report lost or stolen equipment immediately to the EUS and HR department, also
FIR copy will need to be presented to HR and Finance department.
 Employees may not take the laptop for repair to any external agency or vendor at any
point of time

Usage:

 IT Asset issued is for solely official purpose


 Employee will not install any personal software on company provided laptop/desktop.
 Employee are not to use company IT assets for personal work of any nature.
 Employee will take all reasonable measures to ensure the physical and digital
security of the laptop/desktop which includes:
o Locking the laptop in a secure location when not being used for company
work.
o Changing the password as per company policy.
o Keeping Company provided Anti-virus, Firewall, or Encryption software
functional.
 Please do not prevent automatic updates to device operating systems or security
updates.
 You are not authorized to install trial/unlicensed versions or third-party applications

Return:

 The laptop should be returned to the EUS Department in case of leaving the
organization or if they do not intend to use it for any reason.
 In the event where any IT equipment is required to be sent to you by courier, you will
be responsible for any damages/theft/loss of the equipment and shall be charged as
per the actual purchase price
