Artificial lift

Artificial lift: One strategy to increase flow from the well is to provide
pressure assistance. The most common devices moisten the liquid flow
(high gas) (low density) or remove all or part of the liquid head from the
tank (beam pumps and electric submersible or any device used to bring oil
to the surface from a well after the tank is compressed) Natural energy is
provided Remaining from the wellhead of the rod pumps, gas lift, and
hydraulic pump to the point where they cannot be obtained.

Types of artificial lift:

 Sucker-rod (beam) pumping
 Electrical submersible pumping (ESP)
 Gas lift and intermittent gas lift
 Reciprocating and jet hydraulic pumping systems
 Plunger lift
 Progressive cavity pumps (PC)
Gas lift: As the pressure of the reservoir is the driving energy to drive the
fluid into the well-bore, the wellhead, and the surface facility, gas lift is a
natural flow operation. The well-bore, surface facility, and reservoir
responses are the same for a natural flow well and for a gas-lifted well.
.

Pumping methods: Pumping is a different process than degassing. The

reservoir pressure for pumping is the driving energy to push the liquid into
the suction inlet of the pump and not to the surface. The pump then uses
the transferred downhole energy to drive it to the wellhead and surface
facility, increasing the fluid pressure. The pumping advantage is that for
natural flow or a gas lift well, the reservoir pressure can be much lower than
this.
Sucker rod pumps: To reciprocate the down-hole positive displacement
pump, use a rod string lifted by the surface beam pump. Each of the
companies in the Schlumberger rod lift and pumping unit has decades of
experience in applications for artificial lifts. Our combined team provides
specialized equipment, including hydraulic and beam pumping systems,
downhole pumps, pump modules, and spare parts, located Cost-effective,
ensuring that the best possible lift solution for your application helps you.
We maintain numerous API monograms, manufacturing licenses, and third-
party certifications across our portfolio of products to demonstrate our
dedication to quality.
ESP pump: The submersible pump, referred to as an ESP, is
an effective and reliable lift-lift system for lifting medium to
large volumes of well-bore fluid. In the oil and gas industry,
electric submersible pump (ESP) systems are perhaps best
known as an effective lift-up method for pumping production
fluids to the surface.

Plunger lift: With relatively low liquid concentrations in the

lift configuration, plungers can be used to assist intermittent gas lift or to lift
liquids that have accumulated in gas wells. The capping cycle is repeated
periodically, according to the opinion of the field operator, the optimum
time, after the snail is discharged with the piston and the flow (mostly liquid
vapor steam). Production testing is used to obtain speed versus cycle time
and determines the “optimum”.
Hydraulic pump: Hydraulic pumping uses a
surface pump to pressurize the produced water
or crude oil, depending on what is ready to drive
a downhole pump. Components include a
surface high pressure injection pump and
pipeline, injection pipe, downhole assembly, and
positive displacement or jet pump. The piston
hydraulic pump uses high pressure injection
"power" fluid to drive the "motor" pump, which
in turn drives the reservoir fluid pump. Ball check
valves and a double-acting pump force the
reservoir fluid to the surface.

The jet pump uses high pressure strong fluid to create a high velocity
Venturi effect in the nozzle-throat space (production inlet chamber) of the
downhole pump.In the diffuser section, the two liquids are mixed, pressure
recovery takes place and the combined fluids flow back to the surface.
Progressive cavity pumps (PC): In case the liquid is applied to the
surface, the progressive cavity pumps use the screw and interference fit idea
of the helix and elastomer. Surface drive motor for a staged cavity pump is
on the left and starter and variable speed drive are on the right. Absorber
rods are used to transmit motion to the downhole pump, but rods are
rotated rather than moving back and forth. Submersible lower drive can
also be made, which eliminates rods.
