Currently, electronics, apparel, and home/furnishings comprise the largest sectors, accounting for 48%, 9%, and 8% of the market respectively. The number of daily online retail transactions is 1-1.2 million currently, while internet users in India are projected to increase from 604 million in 2018 to over 835 million by 2023. The government has launched several initiatives like Digital India and the Government e-Marketplace to support growth of the e-commerce sector.
