SUB.206P
BOARD DIPLOMA EXAMINATION, (C–18)
MARCH/APRIL—2019
II SEMESTER EXAMINATION
ADVANCED ENGINEERING DRAWING
Time : 2 hours ] [ Total Marks : 40
Important Note: Wherever any question has choice, marks will be allotted only to first
attempted question. No marks will be allotted for extra questions answered.

PART—A (8×2=16M)
Note: Answer ALL the questions. Each question carries 2 marks.

1. Draw the projections of a cylinder of diameter 40 mm and height 60 mm is on V.P

with its base. It is parallel to H.P and 10mm above H.P.
2. What is the section plane.
3. Draw the auxiliary view of the sloping surface of the object shown in figure.

4. Draw the isometric view from the orthographic views are shown in figure.
5. Draw the development of cylinder of diameter 30 mm and height 50 mm.
6. Draw the development of the square prism of side 25 mm and height 50 mm.
7. Define frustum of solid.
8. What is the radial line development.

PART—B (4×6=24M)
Note: Answer the following questions. Each question carries 6 marks.

9. a) Draw the projections of a pentagonal prism of base side 30 mm and axis 60 mm is

such that one of its rectangular faces is parallel and 20 mm above H.P .Its axis is 30 0
inclined to V.P and one of its base corner 15 mm in front of V.P.
OR
9. b) A hexagonal pyramid of base side 30 mm and axis 70 mm is resting on H.P with its
base, one of its base edge parallel and 10 mm in front of V.P. A section plane cuts the
pyramid perpendicular to V.P and 600 inclined to H.P and passing through a point at 30
mm from apex. Draw its front view, sectional top view and true shape.
10. a) Draw the auxiliary view of sloping surface of the object shown in below figure.

OR
10. b) Draw the isometric view of the block whose orthographic views are shown in
below figure.

11. a) Draw the development of the pentagonal prism of base side 25 mm and height 50
mm.
OR
12. b) A hexagonal prism of side of base 20 mm and height 50 mm is standing vertically
on HP with its one of rectangular faces parallel to VP. It is cut by a plane which is
inclined at 450 to HP, perpendicular to VP and passing through one of the top corners
of the prism. Develop the lateral part of the cut prism.
12. a) Draw the develop of the lateral surface of a square pyramid which is standing on
H.P with one of its base edges parallel to the V.P. The base is 25 mm square and the
height of the axis 40 mm.
OR
12. b) A hexagonal pyramid of side 30 mm and height 65 mm is resting on its base in H.P.
one of its base sides is parallel to V.P. It is cut by a cutting plane which is parallel to
H.P. and perpendicular to V.P.
