Women Qualified Daintowon Domah Pay-Bayee Profile
Ms / Amb. Daintowon Domah Pay-bayee is an Advocate, Feminist, Politician, Servant, Accountant, Youth
Leader, Administrator, Reconciler, Musician, God-Fearing, was certified as Young Ambassador for Peace
by Youth Federation of World Peace as the result of advocacy for the right and dignity of Persons with
Disabilities especially Women, Youth and Children; and served as Representative Candidate of District #
13, Monrovia, Montserrado County in the 2017 Representatives and Presidential Election. She again took
up the challenge in the 2018 By-Election for the same District and before going into the election, she did a
SWOT analysis on my Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats and being on a Party Ticket could
help shape the 2018 process in a more competitive because the reception was very good with ideas from
Elders, Religious Leaders, Women and Youth realizing my potential at the end of the 2017 process but was
frustrated by her Political Party. Notwithstanding, she grew up in the District, earned 9 th Grade WEAC
Certificate, High School Diploma and today a University graduate with other Professional Certificates.
She is 2011 graduate of the University of Liberia with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in
Accounting, minor in Management with emphasis in Project Management. Being capacitated by the
Foundation for International Dignity in 2004 on fundamental human rights, right based approach in
advocacy and that she can become a Stakeholder if she removes self-pity by building self-esteem, contribute
to National Development as well as become a Noble Stakeholder, she have always dreamed of becoming the
agent of the change she seek as well as becoming role model to her fellow youth with and without
disabilities as well as women but the major challenge is finance as well as logistical support.
She believes in deliverables by practical transformation through programs, projects and activities with
collective Decision Making. In December 2012, she served as panelist representing the Community of
Persons with Disabilities at the Vision 2030 Conference held in Gbarnga, Bong County and served as Youth
Facilitator for the Draft Issues Paper sponsored by UNDP and with determination to acquire more
knowledge in an effort to contribute to National Development, as a Productive and Potential Citizens, she
participated in local, national, regional, continental and international trainings.
She served the community through voluntary Services and obtained a certificate in monitoring and reporting
on implementation of United Nations Convention on the Rights of Person with Disabilities (UNCRPD) in
Nairobi, Kenya as Country Coordinator of the Young Voices International - Liberia, a project of Leonard
Cheshire Disability International, UK; earned a certificate at UNMIL Community Resource Center as
Messenger of Peace, Certificated by the Insight TV Manager at the Conference on the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities: A call for Action on Poverty, Lack of Access and Discrimination organized by the United
Nations Economics’ Commission of Africa (UNECA) and Leonard Cheshire Disabilities (LCD) in Addis-
Ababa, Ethiopia; obtained Certificates of Honored, Completion, Attendance, Achievement, Participation
and as the Most Determine Youth of 2016 -2017; Youth and Young Adult Department of the Calvary
Revival Church International, Monrovia, Liberia; Concern Youth Initiative, Battery Factory, Monrovia,
Liberia; Moremi Initiative for Women's Leadership in Africa (MILEAD); Destiny Christian Fellowship;

United States Department of Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Washington DC, USA; achieved a
Certificate of YOWLI Award by the African Women Millennium Initiative on Poverty and Human Rights
(AWOMI) in Dakar, Senegal; received a Certificate of Achievement by the Human Rights and Peace
Building Resource Center Foundation of International Dignity, Monrovia, Liberia; successfully participated
and presented issues effecting young women with and without disabilities at the 55 th, 56th, 57th,&58th
Sessions of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Woman (CSA) held in New York, USA, served
as Youth Delegate to the Pre-CSW62nd held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Youth Delegate to the CSW62nd
held in New York, USA and the 3rd State Parties Conference on the United Nations Convention on the
Rights of Persons with Disabilities in New York, United States of America.
Growing up while seeking refuge in La Cote D’Ivoire as the result of the Liberia Civil Crisis when she was
in the 2nd Grade, her Mother asked she and her three Sisters one day after school on what they wanted to
become in the future and she said “President of the Republic of Liberia”. Her Mother shouted with surprise
and said “A Politician! Daintowon. Why? I thought being in the House of God with key role, you were
going to be a Pastor or Reverend?” And she told her Mother “because our Leaders were not respecting the
Law of the Country, fellow citizens rights, refusal to leave power, lack of Justice & equal treatment and that
she love Liberia”. She also reminded her Mother that “we are insulted and reminded by the Ivorian’s that
we brought war to our Country asking us to go home”, disadvantages especially when they fled for their
lives many nights in Danane, La Cote D’Ivoire through windows due to crises between the Liberian Soldiers
and an Ivorian Fellow who owned a Bar called Baby Face at Gingele Deux Junction.
She a member of the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA); served as the Administrative / Finance
officer of the Inclusive Development Initiative (IDI), Consultant of the African Youth with Disabilities
Network (AYWDN)-Liberia Chapter; former Deputy Secretary General for Administration of the
Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY) which is the umbrella Organization for Youth and Students in Liberia
from 2012 – 2018; Desk Officer for Vulnerable Groups at the Constitution Review Committee (CRC);
served as Country Coordinator for African Youth with Disabilities Network (AYWDN)-Liberia Chapter;
served as Facilitator for Draft Issue Paper on Human Rights and Disability Task Force (UNMIL); served as
Country Coordinator of the Young Voices International- Liberia, a Pilot Project of Leonard Cheshire
Disability International, UK; served as Inclusive Education coordinator and National Coordinator of the
Antoinette Cheshire Home, served as Vice Chairlady for Administration & Finance of the Young
Ambassador for Peace (YAP), a Pilot Project of the Youth Federation for World Peace now the
International Association of Youth and Students for Peace, . She was instrumental in the Revision of the
National Youth Policy; developed the National Youth Manifesto ensuring that issues effecting Youth with
Disabilities were captured and the Liberia Vision 2030 process; the Draft Affirmative Action Bill of 2016
which calls for Twenty-One Seats at Parliament: Three for Persons with Disabilities, Three for the Youth
and Fifteen for Women which was sent to Conference by the Lower House upon passage by the Senate. She
was the First Youth or Young lady with Disability who served in the Leadership of FLY since its
establishment and enactment in 1978 and 1979. Her duties were procurements, logistics, personnel director,
managing, advocacy, trainer, managing finances, writing and analyzing proposals, reporting, planning,
development, decision making purposes, implementation the supervision of clerical duties.
The major challenge remains finance and logistical support because she had to fund her campaigns from her
salaries and consultancy fees. Now that she is not the member of the Ruling Party, she is not working and
