Chapter 4 : Write a summary about shopaholic.

A shopaholic is somebody who is addicted to shopping, a compulsive shopper who suffer


from uncontrolled overspending and an individual who cannot control their spending.
Moreover, buying something is makes them feel great. For them overspending becomes an
addiction which is very hard to overcome.
Emotional deprivation in childhood is one of the main cause of the habit. Furthermore,
inability to tolerate negative feelings, need to fill an inner void, excitement seeking,
perfectionism and need to gain control are the other reasons for the addiction.
Shopaholic ruined relationships as a result of overspending. Debt that can take years to
pay off put them in financial crisis. Ruining credit can affect one’s ability to make more
important purchases later in life. It may also lead to feelings of guilt and worthlessness,
because cannot buy true happiness and all the purchases are temporary.
