Student Assessment Methods

Duration  Quizzes – 10 - 20 minutes


 Assignment – 3 - 4 week
 Project – 3 hours / week
 Presentation – 15 minutes
 Test / mid-term – 1 or 2 hour
 Final examination – 3 hour

Weightage  Assessment for the courses is carried out periodically and


continuously throughout the semester.
 For courses without final examination the assessment is carried
out through continuous assessment only.
 For courses with final examination, the continuous assessment
contributes 60% of the total marks and the other 40% is from the
final examination.

70 – 74 3.33 B+ Credit

65 – 69 3.00 B Credit

45 – 49 1.67 C- Pass

40 - 44 1.00 D Pass

0 - 39 0.00 F Fail

Criteria to  Students are entitled to be awarded with Certificate/Diploma after


graduate they:
 Passed all the required courses.
 Completed minimum credit hours required for the programme.
 Completed the industrial training (if required) and fulfill all the
requirements.
 Complied with the programme requirements and are approved by
the Examination Board.

* All duration provided for teaching and learning activities at the table is subject to change due to nature
of syllabus, types and weightage of the assignment.
