Question: Explain in one sentence the following elements of Good Governance.

RULE OF LAW  Fair, impartial, full protection.


 A fair, predictable and stable legal framework is essential so that
businesses and individuals may assess economic opportunities and
act on them without fear of arbitrary interference or expropriation.
 This requires that the rules be known in advance, that they be
actually in force and applied consistently and fairly, that conflicts
be resolvable by an independent judicial system, and that
procedures for amending and repealing the rules exist and are
publicly known.
ACCOUNTABILITY  Accountable for what should be documented i policy statement.
 Governments and their employees should be held responsible for
their actions.

DESCENT STANDARD OF LIVING  Exist where everyone has opportunities to improve or maintain
their well-being. This means that all members of society, especially
the most vulnerable, are taken into consideration in policymaking,
and no one feels alienated, disenfranchised or left behind. Good
governance demands that preferential attention is given to the
plight of the poor, marginalized and needy.
INFORMED OF CETIZENRY  This means the citizens needs to be informed and organized. This is
where the freedom of association and organized civil society play
key roles.
 People participation improves the quality of decisions made and
citizen compliance with policies.
