Say: Read the sentences I have written on the board.
What does the first sentence do? (It asks about something).
This is an example of an asking sentence.
Who went from village to village?
The traveler went from village to village.
Read the second sentence. What does the sentence do? (It tells about
something.) This is an example of a telling sentence.
