Flow Through Pipes: ID-411, Hydraulic Machinery and Pipe Flow, 3 (2-1) Worksheet#8

This document summarizes an experiment on flow through pipes. The objective was to establish the relationship between head loss and discharge. Measurements were taken for pipes of three different diameters (21mm, 17mm, 13.6mm) including discharge, velocity, and head loss. Head loss was calculated using formulas and observed from differences in measurements. Graphs were made comparing discharge to calculated and observed head loss. The conclusion states that all steps were accurately performed and values precisely calculated according to procedure.

Results and Discussion

We calculated discharge by volumetric method and then we calculated the velocity. Calculated head
loss calculated by the given formula and observed by the difference of h1 and h2.

Conclusion
We performed all the steps and calculated all values according the procedure. All my values are very
precise.
