LEADERSHIP
STRATEGIES
Leadership Qualities
Leadership style is a form of cross situational behavioural consistency. It refers to the manner
in which a leader interacts with his or her subordinates. More specifically, dimensions of
leadership style depict the way in which a leader, attempts to influence the behavior of
subordinates, makes decisions regarding the direction of the group, his or her balance
between the goal attainment function and the maintenance function of the group.
Leaders are concerned with the spiritual aspect of their work, that is, they have followers who
deeply believe in them and they possess a latent power in organizations. However, managers
deal with mundane tasks such as allocation of roles, tasks and resources needed to achieve
organizational goals, Managers are associated with periods of stability; leaders with periods
of turbulence.
The personality which I have choose is My Father. My father is my role model for many
reasons. First and foremost I admire his passion for work. That is why he is so respected in
his office as well. He is always there to help his colleagues even if it is not his work. He
always lead a family with positive influence. Following are the traits which will explain his
leadership qualities.

Risk management
He always identify, evaluate and address risks so he can positively affect the outcome by
handling that risk in the best-suited way. He often say, “There is now reward, without risk.
“He know which risks to take and which to guard against.

Social skills
More often than not, leader are charismatic, outgoing, friendly and approachable. He have the
ability to speak with anyone in a calm, respectful and engaging way. Employees want to
work with people they like, he is one of those people.

Honesty & Transparency
Honesty is the best policy. People respect those who are able to honestly share and react
calmly to good and bad news while being able to quickly put a plan in action to move
forward. He is one of whose who is honest to every relationship.

Make good decisions

When he make good, practical decisions, he build trust with his followers that gives him
the power to make future decisions quicker, with less pushback. Making good decisions
involves generating good alternatives and analysing each option diligently.

Once he made his decision, evaluate then communicate plan and always learn from his and
others’ mistakes. For decisions he used following steps

1. Command
2. Collaborative
3. Consensus
4. Convenience

Focused
Life is full of distractions, great leaders know how to remain on track and block out
distractions. Remaining focused involves keeping your eye on the bigger picture, allocating
your time deliberately and training your brain like a muscle to eliminate non-essential work.
A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd. My Father is a
person is keen towards his goals.

Intentional Learner
Leaders go out of their way to stay educated and up-to date. Intentional learning is a
continuous process of acquiring, understanding information with the goal of making yourself
more intelligent and prepared on a specific subject. My father is a person who is always
available to learn new things and try to update himself with new trends.

Patience
Smart leaders know not to expect results over night, whether it’s a new marketing campaign
or an entirely new business. Leaders know that patience is not about waiting around for
results, it’s about following through and executing the plan, not giving up when you face
hurdles, working hard and learning how to enjoy the journey as much as the destination. He is
a person who face everything patiently.

Trust in your team

This can be difficult, but he trust on his team largely depends on the people he hire, your
ability to train them and the work you delegate to them. If you believe in their ability to do
those things, you need to trust your team to get the results you want and not micro-manage
every project.

Ability to inspire
It’s difficult to love every part of your work no matter what you do. But great leaders have
the ability to inspire their team and make sure they know what they are doing has a bigger
impact than they realize. Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you
want done because he wants to do it. He is a personality who inspire everybody with his
honesty.

Negotiation skills
Leaders know how to get what they want and can be very they do this by tapping the desires
of others and building a sense of trust with people in order to come to a desirable outcome.
From settling differences to overseeing a large deal, leaders should be practical, fair and firm
in their negotiations. His negotiation skills are very strong.

Understanding of opportunity cost

Leaders know that many situations and decisions in business involve risk and there is an
opportunity cost associated with every decision you make. An opportunity cost is the cost of
a missed opportunity. This is usually defined in terms of money, but it may also be
considered in terms of time, person-hours, or any other finite resource. Great leaders
understand the consequences of their decisions before making them. He is risk taker but
always think hundred times o opportunity cost.

Conclusion

leadership is the ability to direct a group of people in realising a common goal. This
is done by people applying their leadership attributes. Leaders create commitment
and enthusiasm amongst followers to achieve goals. Leadership is achieved through
interaction between leader, follower and environment. In conclusion, good leaders are
made not born.I demonstrated this in theparagraphs above. For years, I watched other leaders and
learned from their mistakes. So, I decided that when I get in a leadership position, I would not
only be very welleducated, but also receive the training and experience.
