BIONOTE OF MS. SUZETTE DIZON


Ms. Suzzeth Untalan-Dizon is a Master Teacher I and SHS Focal Person of Caloocan
City Science High School (CCSHS) – Schools Division Office - Caloocan. She earned her
Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in 2004 and finished
Master in Biology as a graduate scholar in De La Salle University –Manila in 2011. She has also
completed the academic requirements for the degree Master of Science in Public Health major in
Medical Microbiology at the University of the Philippines – Manila.
She is currently the Division of Caloocan Focal Person for Science Investigatory Project,
and the Science Research Coordinator in CalSci and handles General Biology as well as
Research Classes for both Junior and Senior High School.
Ms. Dizon is one of the National, Regional, and Division Trainers of the Department of
Education for the Pedagogical Retooling in Mathematics, Languages, and Science for Junior
High School. Ms. Dizon is one of the Science Lesson Exemplar Writers (Team Leader) for
Grade 7 to 10 facilitated by the Bureau of Learning and Delivery of DEPED Central Office as
well as in the Science Lesson Exemplar Integrating Nuclear Science headed by the Philippine
Nuclear Research Institute and DepEd-NCR. She is also one of the Regional Trainers for the
Senior High School Academic Track – STEM Strand from 2017-2019. In line with this, she has
been one of the contributors for the science education magazine of a private publishing company.
She has also published several scientific researches (print and online) with topics related to
Taxonomy and Systematics, Microbiology, Developmental Biology, and Genetics. Such
researches were published in the Manila Central University Scientific Journals and National
Academy of Science and Technology – DOST. She has also joined several poster presentations
for scientific researches and recently has presented scientific papers collaborated with CCSHS
Students in the Biology Teachers Association (BIOTA) and in DOST-NAST.
Prior to this, Ms. Dizon was an Assistant Professor in tertiary level for ten (10) years in
institutions such as in Manila Central University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, St.
Mary’s College-Quezon City, and De La Salle – Araneta University.
