Studio technology (Practical)
Time: 3 hours

Instructions:
(i) The paper consists of three sections A,B and C.
(ii)Attempt one question from any section.
(iii) Development Sketches should be attached to the final work.

SECTION A:

1. Using stencil method develop a motif from insect life that should be transferred
to half meter cloth.
2. Design a batik with a motif derived from aquatic life. Use ½ metre of a cloth
and colours of your choice.

SECTION B:

3. Design and make a patch work 15cmx 18cm, your final work should show
knowledge of a running stich.
4. Using your knowledge of weaving make and design a plain weave of not less
than 16cm by 18cm on a card paper loom.

SECTION C:

5. Make a green ware vase using coils method, develop your ideas from a pine
apple and show development sketches. The vase should be about 15cm wide x
23cm high.
6. Make a sculpture in three dimension out of clay. The composition should depict
a human fist and it should not exceed 20cm high.
