JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Consultant you will provide consulting services, including solution development,
implementation and project closeout at customer sites, assists sales teams with sales activities and
ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
 Works and collaborates with others on consulting projects and special projects as assigned
 Provides reliable delivery of targeted project results through role as expert in the application of
specific SAS methodologies, projects and technologies
 Understands, utilizes and communicates best practice methodologies and industry standards
internally and externally
 Installs SAS software solutions and any required supporting products for knowledge sharing and
demonstration purposes as assigned
 Participates in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product
knowledge of core components of SAS offerings
 Leverages detailed technical knowledge to support sales opportunities and implementations
across solution domains

JOB SPECIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field; with 2 years of technical
consulting, systems engineering, project management, applications development and/or customer
support

Additional Requirements
 Working knowledge of the SAS Platform
 Basic experience administering a SAS environment
 Sound programming skills
 Experience and knowledge with many of the following products or technologies
o OLAP technology
o SAS Management Console
o Information Map Studio
o Data Integration Studio
o Web Report Studio
o Information Delivery Portal
o Stored Processes
o Installation and Configuration
 Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies
 Strong facilitation and communications skills
 Knowledge and experience with project management documentation such as schedules and
project plans
 Good problem solving, organizational, decision-making written, oral and interpersonal skills
 Knowledge of software or applications development life cycle
 Ability to conceptualize clients' needs and translate into specific implementation strategies
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferences
 Hands on expertise gathering requirements, designing, building, and implementing Business
Intelligence applications
 Basic experience administering the SAS Servers within the SAS Intelligence Platform
