 Planning and task applications let you manage everything from simple to-do lists to
complex group tasks, all over the Internet and collaboratively with other users.

Word Processing on Cloud


 The word processor is an essential part of our computing lives. You can use word
processor—most likely some version of Microsoft Word—to write memos, letters,
thank you notes, fax coversheets, reports, newsletters, you name it.
 What do you do when you don’t have Microsoft Word handy? The solution, believe it
or not, lies in the clouds—in the form of a web-based word processor.
 How Web-Based Word Processing Works
o Microsoft Word is a software program that is installed on your computer’s hard
disk. Web-based word processors, in contrast, are hosted in the cloud, not on
your hard drive
 Benefits of Web-Based Word Processors
o The documents can be accessed from anywhere, just by using Internet.
o The documents can share easily with others, that is not possible by using
Microsoft Word and similar desktop software programs.
o In web based word processor, document save on cloud that why you can’t lose
your document.

 Spreadsheets is used to prepare budgets, create expense reports, and perform “what if”
analyses.
 Same work we can perform on web based spreadsheets with additional features of
cloud.
 Benefits of Web-Based Spreadsheets
o Spreadsheets can be accessed from any Internet-connected computer.
o Spreadsheets are still accessible if you have a computer problem or hard disk
crash.
o Spreadsheets can be easily share with others—enabling workgroup
collaboration with users in other locations.
