How to Download an Oscillographic Record File with WinPCD T2

The PCD is capable of generating Oscillographic Record Files. The stored record files can be viewed as
Oscillographic Waveform Data with the PowerView Oscillographics Software tool. The desired element for
performing the Waveform Capture is enabled and can retrieve up to 64 cycles of fault data information using the
WinPCD T2 Software.

Instructions
1. First establish communications with the PCD using the WinPCD T2 software program.
2. From the Main Menu select “Waveform Capture”.

3. From the Waveform Capture Menu select “ Oscillographics Data Capture Settings”.

4. Select the Element Setting Database Value “ Yes” for the desired Oscillographic Data Capture.

5. Select the desired Oscillographic Record

6. After the Record file is selected for download; depress the “ Save Waveform Capture” Button.
7. Depress the “ Set” button to proceed with the Download process.
Note: You can select up to 8 Records consisting of 8 Cycles of data.

8. Name and Save the selected Record file.

9. Depress the “ Start” button.


10. The selected file will now be downloaded.

11. Press the Back Button to exit WinPCD T 2.
12. The Record file will be saved as a .cap extension. The .cap file can be uploaded and viewed with the
PowerView Software Program by accessing the file from the folder it was saved in.
