Psychology Assignment

Movie i picked for this report is "Good will hunting" featuring Matt Damon.

Psychological Concept;

The concept described in this movie is developmental psychology, Scientific

study of how and why human beings change over the course of their life.

This movie relates to the concept of developmental psychology because in the

movie "Will hunting" is genius and smart but he has trouble expressing or

exploring his potential because he had a rough childhood with foster parents

who did not love and so emotionally abused him, That takes it's toll on will

hunting who commits several felonies and assaults a police officer which lands

him on parole.

So basically he deals with issues of mistrust and isolation until he a psychology

teacher as a part of his parole, who tries to understand him and why is he, a

genius behaves and acts so badly.

Why did i choose this movie;

First of all this movie is by Matt Damon, who is one of my favourite actors

and second he wrote this character himself and his performance is oscar-

worthy in this movie. This movie is a classic in the genre of soap-operas.

How did it affect me;

This movie has made me realize that everyone goes through trouble on

their own and that makes them who they are, those events shape their

behaviour and Also this movie had taught me to not judge someone because

we don't know what they have gone through.
