Techno Uganda Ltd is a Ugandan Company dealing in the sale of electronics. Its
office is located at Majestic Plaza, Plot 2, Akwiya Piny Road, Kampala City. Post
office box Number 112 Kampala. It uses the email address:
[email protected]. Their financial year begins from the 1 st of July 2017
and their book begins from 1st of July 2017

worth 3,000,000. However, the amount has not yet been
collected. MTN Uganda promised to pay the full amount on the 16 th
August, 2017.

18th July Received an electricity Bill from Umeme Uganda Limited Shs
100,000/=

20th July Purchased Printing papers from Cankura Bookshop for shs 100,000

29th July Paid the electricity bill owing to Umeme Uganda Limited Using
cheque.

29th July Withdrew Cash for office Use from Bank (DFCU) Kitgum Branch
Account number 112 Shs. 300,000

30th July Received commission of shs 500,000 at bank.

30th July Received interest of shs 100,000 on bank deposit.

30th July Paid for advertisement for its products Shs 500,000 using cheque.

30th July Paid staff salary of shs 150,000 Using Cash.

30th July Received a cheque from MTN Uganda LTD being payment of debts
owed by MTN.

c) Balance prepaid rent account as on the 31st July 2017. (07 Marks)
