Master’s students must choose an eligible payment plan when accepting an offer of admission. Please note that normally the payment plan can
only be changed in the student’s first semester. Plan C is available to full-time students in certain programs only listed below.
Students must pay the full program fee. If any program is completed in fewer semesters than the number of semesters listed above, a payment of
an amount equal to the remaining number of semesters is required (e.g., if 9 semesters are to be paid and the program is completed in 7, the 2
remaining semester fees must be paid).

Continuance Fees: Students who do not complete their programs in the number of semesters listed above will be required to pay a continuance fee for
each additional semester required as listed below.

Visiting Graduate Students

Must purchase health insurance per semester (Visiting Graduate Students taking courses will be required to pay the undergraduate per-course rate).

Distance Courses and Special Delivery Fees - Distance Education Administration Fee suspended for Winter 2021
The cost of program courses is included in the program fee. However, there is a charge for distance courses and certain special delivery courses for certain
student cohorts. Consult the academic unit of interest to see if a fee is charged.

Student Union/Federation Fees

Graduate Students’ Union - $30.85 each semester $92.55 per year
Canadian Federation of Students - $9.52 per semester in each of Fall and Winter $19.04 per year
Nursing Students’ Association (nursing students only) $10 per year (full-time)
$6 per year (part-time)

Recreation Fee (The Works) - Suspended for Winter 2021

All students are required to pay a recreation fee of $62.72 each semester. $188.16 per year (Students
eligible for exemption must complete the exemption form.)

Student Services Fee

All graduate students are required to pay a Student Services Fee of $50 each semester. $150.00 per year

Campus Renewal Fee

All graduate students are required to pay a Campus Renewal Fee of $166.67 each semester, $500.00 per year
thisexcludesgraduate students on continuance.

Dental Coverage (All full-time students)

The rate payable in each of the Fall, Winter and Spring semesters is $88.56 $265.68 per year
(Students who already have coverage must complete an Opt Out form.)

Drug and Health Insurance (All full-time students)

The rate payable in each of the Fall, Winter and Spring semesters is $141.48 $424.44 per year
(Students who already have coverage must complete an Opt Out form.)

International Health Insurance and Medical Care Plan (MCP) (international students)
International students are advised to contact the Internationalization Office for current rates for international health insurance - www.mun.ca/isa.
All international students with a study permit valid for 12 months or longer must apply for the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Care Plan.

Books and Stationery Supplies

The cost of books averages $100 per course; the number of courses required varies from program to program. In addition, students may have further
miscellaneous expenses in relation to course work and research.
