Municipal Profile

The municipality of Dagami is a 3rd class municipality situated 32 kms, South of Tacloban City. It is bounded in the North by Binahaan River across the
municipality of Pastrana , in the South by the municipality of Burauen , in the East by the Municipality of Tabon-tabon in the West by municipality of Albuera.

It has a projected population of 32,899and a total household of 5317 . It has a total land area of 201,2sq, km and has a population density of 150.9 sq.
km . The average population per HH is 6.

Dagami is primarily an agriculture area and farming is the main source of income . All brgys, are accessible and can be reached one hour by PUB’s and
PUJs while 30-45 minutes by van from Tacloban City.

The whole municipality is divided into 6 catchment areas namely: Poblacion ,Canlingga, Patoc , Guinarona , Cansamada and Abaca Catchment areas.
Each catchment area has an average population of 5000 and an average 10-12 barangays manned by one RHM. The main Health Center located in the
Poblacion is manned by 1 MHO, 2 PHNS, 1 Med Tech, 2 RHM’s and 1 RSI. A provincially paid dentist visits the facility 2x a week to render dental health
services.
