Design of Beam:528 Grade of Concrete: at Right End

This document summarizes the design of a reinforced concrete beam with a depth of 650mm and width of 350mm. The calculations check that the beam dimensions satisfy code requirements for flexural members. Longitudinal reinforcement is designed to resist bending moments calculated from a structural analysis model. Top reinforcement of 5-25mm diameter bars and bottom reinforcement of 3-25mm bars are specified to resist the maximum hogging and sagging moments, satisfying code criteria. Shear capacity is also checked at locations of maximum moment. The provided longitudinal reinforcement contributes to the shear capacity in addition to the design shear strength of the concrete. All requirements are satisfied without needing shear reinforcement.
