Harmonization, Acceptance & Standardization of Aircraft Records

1) Harmonization of aircraft records aims to standardize the content and format of records exchanged between airlines and lessors. This reduces costs for both parties during aircraft transfers. 2) Industry groups are working with regulators to update guidelines and accept electronic record keeping to further streamline the process. 3) ATA Spec 2500 provides a standard for electronic record interchange using XML format to facilitate secure transfer of records between operators.
